This is an exceptional 1992 Volvo 240 Sedan with 32,778 original miles. We haven’t come across a really nice 240 with so few miles in at least a decade. This car was purchased when it was new by a chemist, who passed away in 2014. This vehicle was passed along to his children who didn't have much interest in it and sold it to us last year. We have sold lots of 240's but they are becoming increasingly difficult to find in this condition, especially with mileage anywhere near this one.

This 240 needed very little attention when we received it. Although there was no accident history or previous body damage on this car, the finish was fading. We decided to restore this car which mainly consisted manly of exterior cosmetic refinishing, but also included some additional service as follows:

- The exterior finish was stripped and refinished which included removing the exterior trim.

- All original exterior trim was cleaned and reinstalled using all new clips and hardware.

- Four new tires were installed, as well as new brakes.

- The full Timing Belt service was completed, which included the new timing belt, tensioner pulley, seals, water pump, and all accessory belts.

- New lower control arms and all new bushings.

- New alternator & Interstate battery.

- New oil & filter and air filter.

This 240 runs and drives excellent. The 2.3L engine runs strong and smoothly without any issues. The transmission and overdrive shift crisply. The power windows and door locks are working correctly. The climate control and air conditioning are working. All of the power equipment in this car has been checked and tested, and everything works properly, including the air conditioning.

This 240 has a beautiful looking exterior. The Blue paint is very glossy and in excellent condition with nothing other than a few superficial imperfections. There aren’t any dents or scratches on the body. There isn’t any rust on the body and there have not been any rust repairs on this car. The undercarriage and floor pans are also very clean. The wheels caps, bumpers and all of the exterior body trim pieces are original and in great condition. All of the lights and lenses are bright and clear without any cracks or damage.

The interior has been well maintained and is crisp and clean. All of the seats surfaces are in excellent shape without any rips or wear spots. The carpeting is fluffy and clean throughout this car. All other interior trim pieces are intact, tight and in terrific condition without damage. There aren't any cracks or holes in the dash pad, door pockets or center console. The headliner and visors are clean and in perfect condition. There aren’t any smoke odors or other unpleasant odors inside this car.

The vehicle history report is clean without any accidents or damage history, and we have the clean, clear title in hand. This is an excellent running 240, and with all maintenance and service up to date, I would expect this beautiful Volvo to provide reliable service for many, many years to come.
