1972 Volvo P1800 ES
I’ve owned my 1800 for 25+ years. Was my very reliable and much babied daily driver for 7 years. Ran and drove perfectly when garaged in 1995 for restoration. Everything functioned as it should. Never got around to restoring it (new car, new job, etc.) Garaged since1995, just lost garage and do not want to pay higher price for new storage that it was just transported to. Motor turns, have not tried starting it. Car was always serviced by revered Volvo Master Mechanic - (Larry Costa, Long Valley Garage, Long Valley, NJ) specialized in Volvos and owned an 1800. Many new parts were installed as my plan was to get the mechanics done before the body.
Complete car other than: missing left rear view mirror, a few clips to mount grill and inside door handles. Also missing radio.
4 speed with OD, factory AC, rare factory roof rack (I’ve seen the roof rack alone sell for $400), Grill is pretty much perfect.
Body:Rust in usual 1800 places-please see photos. Rockers, front signal lights, cross member, spot on right driver’s side floor, spots on lower back panels, etc.Can’t confirm everything as I don’t have a lift. Rust on hood seems to be surface rust.
No dents on body except on driver side front fender (see photo) and slight pushed in area (approx. 3”) above grill which need to be pulled out to firmly attach grill. Right side of car totally straight. Front signal light lenses are new.
Also includes:Brand new rocker panels for both sides (from Bob Stein Volvo) (please see photo)Brand new trim piece still in plastic wrap for driver’s side front fender to replace missing one.(please see photo)A few otherextraassorted parts.
Interior:Interior OK except front seat lower cushions need work. And passenger seat upper cushion has one seam coming apart other that good for daily driver.
Back seats near perfect except for approx 1” cut on one seat. Headliner OK but coming loose in onesmall area. Dashboard has two cracks but fine for daily driver.

The right front wheel did not roll when it was recently transported to new storage. Probaby needs to be lucbricated I’m told.
Tires hold air but 20 years old and should be replaced.
Clean NJ title in hand.
Have original Volvo keys and jack.
