1944 Willys Ford GPW Description

Local pickup only in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca 91737 only. This is a cod only auction. No checks.I will ad more pictures tomorrow. This auction is for what I believe is a late 1944 Ford GPW jeep. The frame number puts it at a 1944, and the engine is a 1942. 48622 vin or serial number.I will do the best I can to describe the Ford. The jeep was parked in 1992 due to a blown head gasket. There is still oil in the pan, and the engine does turn over. (Turns freely by hand/socket wrench)The gas tank has the part inside that pulls up for filling. The jeep is pretty rusty, with the floors rusted through and the under supports/wood gone. The jeep was modifiedfor hunting, and not for historical accuracy. The seats are not original, has a roll bar, rims are wrong. The engine as a GPW number, as well as the frame. It is a roller right now, and has no air cleaner and no battery. It is sold as pictured, and you will need to bring a trailer to pick it up.Overall, the Ford is a basket case, needing a ton of work, tons of time, and tons of money. It is s great project if you have the time and money.I am not sure what all is original.I know the windshield is post war Willys.Local pickup only, cash only. The jeep must be picked up within 3 days of auctions end.Have pink in had, It has a date of 1963, but that was first date sold.
