This awesome ride is a custom conversion that began with a 1979 Jeep 4 X 4 Wagoneer frame and running gear that was modified to fit under an iconic 1947 Willys StationWagon Body.
The Wagoneer’s AMC 360 V-8 was bored 60 over and the heads were rebuilt. There is a new RV cam and lifters. For extra get up and go this screaming machine is topped with a 650 CFM Holly carburetor. WillyWag has a Warner T18 4-speed manual transmission with a Spicer 20 transfer case. The 4 X 4 drive train includes Dana 44 axels with front lock out hubs.
This updated conversion features power steering, power front disk brakes, power tan leather high back front seats with headrests, a removable tan leather rear bench seat with headrests, matching rust brown vinyl interior door panels, custom headliner, Kenwood AM/FM stereo radio with cassette player, all new glass, window and door seals, custom exterior paint; metallic Rust Brown and metallic Las Vegas Gold.
For even more bling there is diamond plating on the interior running board, dash face, interior door kicks, bumper top, and inside the engine hood. The original front bumper was re-chromed, custom front and rear signal lamps were added, and a 1940’s era Cadillac Angel hood ornament provides a classy finishing touch to this nice conversion.
WillyWag knows no season and with Cooper Discovery 31 X 10.5/15R mud and snow tires mounted to centerline mag wheels you can adventure along less traveled roads any time of the year. If you like to camp or fish, WillyWag has a sport utility rack ready for all the gear and also comes with a custom 9 rod pole rack mounted to the interior head liner. WillyWag has only 10,496 miles and is ready take you where you’ve always wanted to go.
