1960 Willys CJ3A Description

This Willy's jeep is one of the nicest in the country. It performs very well both on and off the road. The tub and the custom interior are in great condition, as are the canvas doors and soft-top (which has two sunroofs! and is included in the sale).

Now for the best part: this jeep is a 1953 in body only. The body is mounted on a modified 1986 CJ7 frame so it has a more modern drivetrain. Registered as a 1960, given the best-of-breed parts used in the build. Rear endsare Dana 44 in the rear / Dana 30 in the front; the rear with 355 gears. Transfer case is a Dana 20.

This jeep has power-steering! and cruises at 60 mph with one finger on the steering wheel. It also has an automatic transmission, so it is much easier to drive and turn that massive rubber. Transmission is a TH350 automatic, and the transfer case is out of a 1969 JeepCommando -- totally rebuilt. 1970 Buick 225 Dauntless 6-cylinder engine is also totally rebuilt. Entire jeep has new wiring from headlights to tail-lights, and a custom exhaust system. Rare Kelsey Hayesmagson new 31 x 10.50 Goodyear Duratracs. This jeep is not your average Willy's;It stops, steers and handles like a new Jeep and is a pleasure to drive.

Other custom features include a Warn winch, off-road lights, a large, hidden steel-box compartment in the rear floor, a CB/AM/FM radio, interior heater, complete roll-cage, and much more!
