For sale is a 1956 Willy's Overland wagon. Willy's wagon was originally located inMontana, the wagon is all original sheet metal and power-train. Recently restored, it has only 15,7xx original miles on it, and is ready for a new home. Everything from the rims to the roof are in excellent shape. The frame is in perfect condition. All the power train is original to this jeep. The original axles have hadnew wheel bearings, 4wd hubs, and u joints installed all the way around. New shocks and tires. The entire brake system has been redone (shoes, wheel cylinders, springs, drums, lines, master cylinder, etc.). The complete fuel system has also been replaced and is new (plastic oe style tank, lines, etc.). The motor is the original straight 6 super hurricane, with a fresh head-gasket, timing case gasket, water pump, alternator conversion, and much more. The transmission is the original 3speed manual on the floor with the mated twin stick transfer case. Both 4 wd and the high low shift work perfectly. The vehicle is over 60 years old, and as such does slowly drip oils. The motor, transmission, and transfer case have all been flushed and retain their original seals.Entire wiring harness was removed and replaced with new wiring harness and modern fuse block. All lights, high low beams, and markers have been checked and function properly.Vehiclehas also been converted from 6 volt generator to12 volt alternator system. The interior has been entirely gone through. The original seat frames have been redone and now have memory foam padded seats covered with custom high-grade marine vinyl covers. All new custom vinyl headliner and door panels as well as covered sun visors. The interior has been soundproofed with Dynamatt, and upgraded with front to rear deluxe cut pile automotive carpet. New custom cut oak bed-slats compliment the interior. The dash has been thoroughly gone over and retains all the original trim, and well as the original gauges which all work (the ammeter reads draw only due to the 12 volt conversion). Also, the original heater has been upgraded to a modern 12 volt aftermarket heater and defrost system. The exterior is done in a two tone paint scheme similar to the era, with a black roof over an era correct gunmetal shade body. First re paint the jeep has had, all panels on the body are the original sheet metal. All new glass and rubber (window moldings, door seals, gate seals). Passenger window has one small inch and a half crack on the top. All stainless trim, new nose trim, polished original belt line trim and light bezels. The original stainless has a few minor flaws. 906.281.6545
