You are looking at a custom 1955 Willys Jeep Pickup. This one of a kind relic sits on a renovated 1989 Chevrolet truck frame which was C-notched for lowering. The cab, body panels, and box are all original. This was a complete frame off restoration. This Willys has a completely rust free body. The hood, roof, cab and box are all in excellent solid condition. The truck has been stored indoors and in a heated garage for the winter. There have been custom modifications made to the fenders, below the box and running boards. All truck work (body, engine, transmission, interior) were locally done in the Des Moines area by professionals, all documented. Paint is Alien Green metallic. The interior is absolutely stunning and looks and feels new. Custom upholstery throughout with chrome custom gauges and dash painted to match the the exterior. Floor pan is solid. Door jams and rockers are all solid and straight. This is a really clean truck with a great paint job and it shows! Custom alien decal painted on the right side fender. (See Images for Details).
Under the hood is a strong running rebuilt 350 Chevrolet gas engine with a mild cam and four barrel carb. The Engine bay is not fancy but functional and all parts are solid and well maintained. I didn't go and candy out the motor hoses and engine bay, but this could be completed with ease. Underneath you will find a standard exhaust manifold with 2 1/2” dual stainless steel exhaust with Magnaflow. The exhaust rumbles and sounds great! Not too loud and just enough growl to be elegant.
The engine is mated with a rebuilt turbo 400 transmission. The transmission is an automatic and shifts solid and smooth. Recently serviced and ready for the road. There is a new driveshaft which is matted to a non-locking 3.10 rear axle. Behind the Chrome 18" Cragar Style wheels are Front disc brakes and rear drums. The brakes are like new with very little use. Tires are knee deep in rubber 12/32 or better remain. Tires are like new. They are wide tires measuring 235/50/R18. Suspension and hubs feature new bearings, seals, bushings ect. No engine or transmission leaks. There are no windshield wipers and there is no parking brake.
Mechanically everything works great! This Willys is ready to ride. Like new A/C system installed and blows ice cold air. There is a working stereo in the glove box, all lights and electronics work as intended. The truck was built over years as a project to show. You will not be disappointed in the quality of this custom build. I have personally owned this truck for over 15 years, the truck was finished and completed within the last 3 years.
The overall condition is really good. Interior is in great condition with no rips or tears in the seats or upholstery. There is a light stain on the passenger seat panel you can see from the images it looks like a small shadow. The body has a few minor defects in the paint. There is a small chip on the front bumper and a very minor scratch. There is also a few chips in the tailgate. The door rockers have a few small paint chips. There is a small chip on the rear left box side. Overall the truck as you can see from the images is in great condition apart from very minor marks. I have additional images available on request.
