1970 AMC Rebel SST Wagon Description

I'm reluctantly putting this out to see what happens, have my eye on another project and this would have to go. :( We purchased this car not long ago and have had a great time with it! It gets thumbs up everywhere it goes! We just had it in World of Wheels where it took 2nd place in the custom wagon class and has won several awards at other shows as well. Anyone who knows AMC's will know just how rare this wagon is! And even fewer with the two-tone Bittersweet orange and white paint! This 1970 Rebel SST features it's completely rebuilt 304 v8 and rebuilt auto trans. The engine sports a Lunati Voodoo cam with Edlebrock intake and Edlebrock carb giving it a little more power while still keeping it's original appearance. Custom dual Thrush exhaust has a nice throaty sound. It runs and drives perfect! The suspension has been completely re-done using Control Freaks custom upper and lower A-arms with fully adjustable coil overs for a smooth ride and a perfect stance! Front disc brake conversion. The tires are new, iding on a super rare set of Bart Torque Thrust wheels. Everything on the car works (except horn) I replaced the wood wheel with the factory wheel and didn't hook up the horn. It's there and works just not hooked up, wood wheel included in the sale) The interior has all been re-done and shows well with no rips and no tears only a tiny crack at top of dash next to speaker cover. The body shows well with several small bumps and bruises here and there, ot perfect but not bad for being original pant. large scratch on passenger side below rear window, ardly noticeable in photos. The only rust is in the lower part of the doors, also hardly noticeable) when I purchased the car the previous owner gave me tons of extra parts from a donor car to fix any issue it might have. Here is a list of extra parts that go with the car.
4 full doors w-glass
rear side windows
rear door window
l & R taillight assembly
Nos rear lower valence (under lift gate sill)
entire set of replacement stainless trim
several other small odds and ends
Parts alone are worth quite a bit!!
I flew to Kenosha Wisconsin and drove the car home and it never skipped a beat! Last October we took it on a 500 mile trip and it ran like a champ! I wouldn't be afraid to drive it across the county! Like I said we love this car and really don't want to sell it but I have my eye on another project so this would have to go if I wanted to start another. We do have a reserve on the car (no I won't tell you what it is) If it sells it sells if not I will just hang on to it.
The car is showing 65k miles on the odometer, e believe it to be original! We have a mountain of paperwork and receipts from the previous owner.
When we take it to shows everyone asks what it is, ost people have never seen one. Also we have a friend at the DMV who ran a search and our 1970 Rebel SST Wagon is the only one registered in the state of Missouri! Truly a rare car and lovingly cared for. Bid to own! You may not see another for sale!
