1961 Austin Healey 3000 Description

Here’s a chance to get a fabulous example of a big Healey just in time for the Spring/Summer sports car season! The BN7 (two seater) is the rarest of the 3000’s, and certainly the most attractive. This car looks and runs like a new car, and is perfect (my opinion) in every regard. Bought originally by Jed Woolley of Ottawa, Ontario on July 14th, 1961 from Brennen Motors in Toronto, the original “Owner’s Service Policy”, “Warranty Certificate” and “Driver’s Handbook” are included in the sale. The original owner’s service notes are hand written in the back of the Driver’s Handbook, and make hilarious reading (“replaced muffler…. $30.00” etc.) The service notes cover up to May ’97, when the odometer read 72,460 miles. The car currently shows 77,677 miles.

The car comes complete with side curtains, spare tire, top (will need to be stretched… I have not put it on the car in 15 years). It is available for inspection in Princeton, MA, and I will deliver at no charge in an enclosed trailer up to 500 miles (longer distances can be negotiated). It is absolutely original and unmodified, and runs like a top. It has proper 60 spoke silver wire wheels (leave the chrome 72’s to the Jag folks!), and working electric overdrive.

If you miss this buying opportunity, you will might be able to buy it at the Greenwich, CT concourse auction in early June, but unfortunately a 10% buyers premium will apply!!
