1970 BMW 2800 CS e9 running project manual trans
1970 BMW Other Description
Selling our 2800 CS e9 project car. This car has been off the road since the mid 1980's. It has changed hands at least twice over the years here locally in northern Ca. and was stored indoors and out. It was originally purchased in Berkley Ca. in mid 1970 (still has partial dealer frame bolted to the black plates). The car runs and drives and can be driven easily on to a trailer or shipper. The car has a relatively straight and rust free body. It does have some rust issues in the lower inner fender well areas (totally fixable). The tinted glass is still in the doors and 1/4's. All 5 original wheels are included (the spare is in the trunk). The loose small parts are in totes along with the original bucket seats, rear glass, door panels etc. (See pics). The car was partially disassembled like so many people do when they have intentions of restoring/repainting. Unfortunately along the way, it wasn't very well cared for and the windshield, front bumper, and most of the exterior stainless has been misplaced. I have since tracked down a previous owner who thinks he may still have the bumper and stainless in storage. At this time the car is being listed and sold WITHOUT those parts. I will keep trying to pursue them until the car sells and would pass anything along at my cost to recover them. This car deserves to be restored but it is not the right time for me to be the one to do it. Make no mistake, it should have a full restoration. But once it's finished, they are such a beautiful car. This would be a good candidate for a "resto-mod" style car. I believe it was originally Fjordbleu in color. .I follow the BMW market closely and feel I have priced the car according to it's current condition, but will entertain reasonable offers. Please ask questions up front and I will do my best. Thanks for looking.
