Being offered for sale is a one of a kind 1973 BMW Tii Coupe. Losing my storage so let's deal. From the photo's you can see this beauty has been gone through from bumper to bumper, roof to tires. For starters, The car has had a well installed WideBody kit installed. Front fenders are bolt- on, with the rear flares riveted in and professionally seamed before spraying the car entirely in Red Paint. This was a small bumper Euro car with "Roundie" Taillights. Front bumper was removed to install the Matt finish Front Air Dam. Rear Bumper was Blacked Out and a Rear Deck Soft Spoiler added. Car sits on 15" ROTA Mags with Kumho Rear Tires, and Dunlap Fronts. Car sits lower than stock on Aftermarket Coils. The Rear End is a 3:91 Posi Unit. Front towers are tied together with a custom made bar. Car has recently undergone a 5 Speed w/overdrive conversion. A salvage Getrag 245 from an early 80's 320i was used. A brand new Shortened driveshaft from the West Coast was installed. Presently, The trans WILL NOT shift into 5th gear, or reverse. We think it is an issue with the trans, but are not sure and are still investigating. The Trans does shift smoothly from 1st gear to 4th. The Engine is modified with a Mann Cam, Korman Autoworks Intake, Twin Side-Draft Del Orto Carbs, MSD Ignition Module, Accell Coil, and Tube Header. 3" exhaust exits through a custom made Supertrapp Stinger. There is a Remote Oil Filter and the Battery was moved to the trunk with the Electric Fuel Pump. Engine is cooled with a thermally controlled Electric Fan. From the photos you will see the interior is highly modified. Full comp. roll cage, Recaro Racing Bucket Seats, Rear seat removed and sheet metal panel installed. There is a padded Schroth 4 point Harness on the drivers seat, and a Simpson on the passenger side. Stock Dash has cracks. All engine gauges in a custom panel in center console. Spedo works. Odometer shows 75 + K but true mileage is unknown. Anything else, you can email for more info. Call 865-591-9263 to set up appointment to view.
Car comes with many extra parts. There are two extra Tii Heads (rebuildable). The Original Kugelfischer Mechanical fuel Injection Unit as well as the Air Cleaner Assembly. There is a second Tii Air Cleaner along with intake runner and Throttle Body. Also included is a box full of misc. parts, interior, etc. Also included are 4 Hoosier Slick Tires mounted on a second set of Aluminum Wheels. The Original 4 Speed Transmission (working when removed) and stock Driveshaft go with the car. Car runs and drives with 4 forward gears. Lights work. Windows roll down. Wipers work, Heater blows. A few light fluid seeps. Paint and body are good with small chips and rubs. Body is very solid and underneath is good with few surface issues. Window tint is old.
When you drive this car, you are a Rock Star. Turns heads everywhere. I am selling this car for my close friend. Car has a current registration, and a clear Tennessee Title. I have done much of the work for him on this vehicle, and know quite a bit about it. It is also available locally, and this car has got to be sold, so don't be shy. Seller is reluctantly motivated to sell due to a move to NYC (no parking) and storage is going away. Sale will require a $500.00 deposit to hold the car for pick up. A cash payment upon transfer is preferred but certified funds are acceptable. I can assist with transportation arrangements if needed. Feel free to email or call with questions.
