1973 BMW Other Description

This is a 1973 BMW Touring 1600. Imported about 2 years and it’s been sitting in my house in Burbank California since. I’ve owned this car for over 26 years.

I have all correct documents in order to register. due to California state emission control law, his vehicle will not register in California but could be registered in any other state, nly California has such strict law about emission. could be done but costly.

Now about the car, his is a 1973 BMW 1600 Touring that was Alpina Cloned, ar was totally disassembled, very bolt and nut in 1996, ainted inside and outside and under coated to prevent rust, han garaged covered for over 12 years, as absolutely ZERO rust. 12 years later I decided to restore the car.

First, had the car re-painted again, han a local BMW mechanic shop do all the power train part, ood running 2.0l engine and a 5 speed transmission, new carburetors, than installed Custom console with an A/C unit from a 5 series car, 23i Factory Ricaro seats, any nice and rare accessories, xterior trim, oldings, eals, ights, lpina wheels, ew molded carpet, ew original door panels, o expense was spared.

Driven less than 1 mile since been here in California, een sitting in my garage covered.

Needs someTLC; tune up properly, as tank or gas tank ear is leaking, attery area needs cleaning, inor paint touch ups in engine compartment, atch lock (key issue), teering hub, eat knob, djustments here and there all minor stuff.

Ask all your questions and please bid accordingly.

DUE TO REGISTRATION ISSUE IN CALIFORNIA, AM STARTING WITH LOW RESERVE WHICH IS NEAR 1/2 OF WHAT IT COST TO RESTORE

A definite head turner and a show car. You are welcome to inspect it in person if you are near Burbank airport.

$2000 through PayPal end of auction and rest wire transfer. This car will be sold as is with no guarantees whatsoever.

All the best.
