1972 BMW 2002 - ROUNDIE - 4-SPEED - RUNS AND DRIVES - SUNROOF - NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE -
This car has a numbers matching original engine. The rust looks worse than it is; some obvious rust in rear shock towers, the passenger side outer rocker panel and rear wheel well and the drivers side rocker has some rust too. It is just the outer rockers not the inner. Aside from that the frame rails, spare tire well and floor boards are pretty clean. I pulled the battery to charge it and the battery tray and entire engine bay is very dry and appears as if no front accident.
Windows roll up and down, doors open with no problem, trunk and hood as well. I put some fresh gas in the tank and cleaned the carburetor and it runs and drives; shifts well with a good clutch, but the exhaust pipe is removed and has not been installed so very loud. Car hasn't been on the road in many years. Sunroof doesn't roll back and e-brake does not hold.
