1988 BMW M5 Description

***NO RESERVE AUCTION!***
The market for E28 M5's has only gotten hotter each year, with so few here in the states when new and the number of cars shrinking, it's getting harder to find one. The few out there are usually showroom ready, with very few that could be driven and enjoyed regularly. Here's one that can!

- Current owner is the 3rd Owner (2nd and 3rd owners are Father & Son/Professional auto reconditioning) since 1999 @ 75,000 miles

- Serviced at Schneller BMW (Newbury, MA), Ken's Haus (Newburyport, MA) and German Autosport (Amesbury, MA - technician who had been caring for the M5 at Schneller opened his own shop) *SERVICE RECORDS AVAILABLE*

Modifications:

Prior to 1999: ECU performance chip; cam gear; K&N air filter; front/rear Bilstein shocks w/Dinan springs

2002: B&B Trio-Flo Exhaust; fuel tank replaced 8/2002

2010: UUC Short Shift Kit

As the pictures show, the car was cared for and enjoyed for many years, but is not being driven recently due to fluid leaks and the desire to preserve the car as it is before passing it along to the next owner. The car will need mechanical refreshing to be driven regularly, but the car was parked running and driving. It has been garaged since the current and previous owners had the car, and is currently garaged awaiting its new home.
The exterior shows minor flaws and very minor rust - do not let its location in New England scare you! The current owner is a professional auto detailer and put many long hours into the M5, making sure the paint kept its shine and the interior still had that German leather smell.
Buy it now, spend the winter going through the fluids and any mechanical needs, and be ready to enjoy it come spring time!
Delivery or shipping is available anywhere in the lower 48 states, can be arranged at the buyer's expense but I can help with the arrangements. Viewings before auction end can also be arranged. Bid with confidence!
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions - Happy bidding!

NOTE - IF YOU ARE NEW TO EBAY OR HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK, YOU MUST CONTACT ME OR I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID! TOO MANY FAKE/SPAM BIDDERS!! See my feedback - I have years of experience as a seller, and have shipped cars as far as the Netherlands, Germany, India and all over the continental US!

On Sep-17-18 at 19:51:58 PDT, seller added the following information:

.
It has come to my attention that this car had a previous salvage title in a Florida in 1998. The vehicle was hit on the right rear and declared a total loss. The car was then repaired mechanically and all body work completed, and re-registered.
Given the collector status of the car and the fact that this will affect the value, I wanted to disclose it as soon as I was given this information.
If you have any further questions please reach out. I have a copy of the Carfax to verify all information. Again, the current title is clear but it was a salvage title 20 years ago. Massachusetts does not carry over salvage titles for vehicles over 10 years old, which is why the current title is clear.
