1980 BMW 6-Series Description

For sale - 1980 BMW 635 CSi Euro gray market car. This car was one of 3 classic BMWs from my uncle's collection. I have his 1985 635CSi, his 3.0CS was just sold, and this gray market car was next for restoration.
It is painted BMW Polaris- Metallic, which we believe had a respray prior to him purchasing the car. Chrome is decent, body isn't perfect and has some rust. Floors and undercarriage do have some rust. Rubber seals are intact with no visible leaks. Glass is in good shape all around. Euro bumpers will come with the car. They have been removed and are in decent shape.NOT a show car by any means.
All Power windows function except driver rear. The heater-A/C motor does blow but the A/C is not cold. Factory mechanical Recaro bucket seats are wrapped in black leather. Leather is not perfect and could be replaced. Carpets have seen better days and the head liner is in good shape with no sagging.
The 3.5 Euro spec engine runs decently and will idle. It does smoke while running. Transmission is the "dog leg" 5 speed. I can not get it to engage reverse. It may only need an adjustment of the linkage as it nearly engages. The clutch does hold fine in gear to drive the car forward.
It will need to be trailered or shipped due to the brakes not working. I have filled the reservoir with fluid and tried to get pressure but very little accumulated. It may just need the system bled as I haven't tried. The car will drive up onto a trailer and use of the emergency brake will slow the car.
Over all it could be a great car again for someone or for parts. SOLD AS PICTURED
