welcome to my auction.
For sale i have a 1987 Buick grand national well maintain, very solid and honest car with only 37xxx documented miles. the following is a very honest description of the car to my knowledge, please take your time and read the whole thing.
EXTERIOR:
-Original paint, still shines and looks pretty good however its a 30 year old paint and there is some spots that will need to be addressed. please take some time to review all the pictures.
-Will need bumper fillers, although the one in the rear bumper is complete and can be painted, the front one however it's crack.
-the antenna was going up and down so it needs to be check and is disconnected at the moment.
-Wheels need some love, car is missing a wheel center cap, i have a new one just didn't get a chance to installed it.
-Tires look good and are the correct tires that GNs came with.
-The car has a dealership badge in the back, i didn't want to peel the paint off so i let the thing alone.
-no rust on floors or trunk only a couple of small bubbles on the bottom drivers door and rear bumper, please see pics, the spare tire has never been used.
INTERIOR:
The interior looks amazing, very well taking care of, seats are virtually brand new with no rips or stains they have always been cover, the astray in the back of the driver seat still has the factory sticker on it, the only 2 things are the upper sun panel is crack by where the vin number plate is and the radio works but it will need to be tune or may be it's a antenna related problem, all the trims are in very good shape and the headliner is perfect. everything works inside including the ac.
BRAKES:
GNs lovers know how the oem electric power master unit is a peace of junk, i replaced it with a vacuum brake booster problem solved, the down side to this is that i didn't want to use any booster from the engine so i installed a pump, this thing charges itself constantly so it's loud and annoying but i got used to it. there is more options to fix this like going with a hydroboost system or going back to the stock unit which i will include but i needs to be rebuilt.
ENGINE BAY:
Besides the valve cover breathers and a new battery everything else is bone stock. valve cover gaskets were replaced recently. again i will include all the original breathers so you can go back stock.
Im the 4th owner, 2nd and 3rd were stepfather and stepson, the car was in the same family for over 20 years, i have all the paperwork proving all the documented mileage which breakdown like this:
-1st owner, a female teacher who probably didn't know what she was getting into =) bought the car on 12/16/87 in charlotte NC.
-2nd owner (stepfather) bought it on 12/04/89 with 8,081 miles.
-3rd owner (stepson) registered the car to his name on 02/13/12 with 28.123 miles.
finally i got the car on 9/18/2015 with 36.088 miles, the car is now just under 37.900 miles.
THE FOLLOWING IS INCLUDED WITH THE CAR:
-EXTRA set of grand national WHEELS
-stock brake unit
-stock breathers
-gaskets kit
-missing center cap
The car drives strong and it's fast!! the reason im selling is because i have a ford bronco which i want to do a frame off restoration so i can use the money, this is my second grand national i know the car sits on the money, im not asking $30000 like everyone is but please be reasonable with you offers.
