Is very Please to be able to offer this super low milage and very rare featured Grand National.

1987 Grand Nationals that are still factory original are not getting any easier to find. These cars are become collector pieces. Many of the true low milage examples are getting tucked away and one with all the rare accessory’s that this Grand National has will sure to be one that stays in high demand and on the radar screen of a person who appreciates originality.

This GN’s paint still has a high degree of gloss and the bumper inserts have not discolored so bad that they need replaced. Being that the paint in 87 was lacquer the degree of checking is minimal for the age. Obviously this car has spent most of it’s life out of the sun.

The engine still has it’s original Turbo and has not been altered other than chrome accessories. All original parts are included with the vehicle if one would want that 100% true survivor look. When driving this Grand National you get all the torque that you would expect from the 3.8 Turbo and that feeling of being pinned against the seat as she spools out. This GN’s road manors are superb and drivability is at a optimum. Buick was very proud to be able to build a high-performance vehicle like the Grand National and their pride shows in how well this car has stood up to the test of time.

The trunk and undercarriage of this Grand National, ike the rest of the vehicle are in pristine condition.

So heres is one of those rare opportunities to own a true piece of automobile history! Just imagine yourself at any local car show being called to pick up that first place trophy, r all the highway trophies (Thumbs up) that you will get when you are viewing the world, hile the rest of the envious folks view you behind the wheel of this incredible machine. Not just in any classic ride but one with a history and place in the hot-rod name to fame.

Drives Fantastic

The year was 1985, uring an eraof big hair, isposable music, oor fashion sense, nd excess. There was an actor in the White House, Delorean on the big screen, nd more importantly, erformance cars were finally becoming popular again afterthe long, nd drawn-out “smog era” had finally come to a close.

Originally offered as a very limited production car in 1982 (available only in two-tone grey), he Buick Grand National returned for the 1984 model year in its now-infamous all-black attire and a much improved (over the old carbureted version) SFI turbocharged 3.8L V6. It was rated at 200hp/300ft.lbs and would tear through the quarter mile in the mid 15s. This of course sounds pretty lame by today’s standards, ut for the mid-eighties, hat wason parwith that of a turbocharged import, PI F-bodyor what the 5.0 Mustang would do.

As everyone now knows, he Grand National would go on to become an automotive legend with the introduction of intercooling and several other changes to the engine for the1986 model year. Power jumped up to 235hp/330lbft, nd up again to 245hp/355lbft in 1987, esulting in quarter mile times of the high 13s/low 14s.
