1939 Buick Other TRUNKBACK Description

This is a real garage find the last picture is the spot it had sat for the last 20 years. The car is solid very little rust look over the pictures and if you need more just ask me. The floor has a spot under the passanger seat very small hole easy repair. It has had some repairs done over the years so do not expect a perfect floor pan but it is solid. The body was originaly yellow this might be the right color just faded over the years. The doors open and close well. The driver window regulator only goes about 1/2 way down probably just some lube and it should free up. The speedo reads 35000 miles might be true by the condition of the interior and the engine. The car has several options such as fender mounted parking lights a clock pushbutton radio and turn signals. It also has the heater in the car. We got the car to the shop and drained all the fluids pulled the plugs and dropped some oil down the cylinders the next morning we turned the motor by hand it spun free like it was running yesterday. So we cleaned the points dropped in a 6 volt battery jumped the coil and cranked it over we had spark so we dropped fuel into the carb and it started right up and sounded good. The fuel tank is out of the car and will need attention but is repairable. The fuel pump is new and has never had fuel in it yet. The original stromberg is rebuilt and in the trunk ready to install but the current carb seems to do the job right now. The clutch feel to operate but I have not driven the car since the brake pedal will not move and the brake system will need to be rebuilt I'm sure. The trim is all here and in great shape the bumpers are both straight so it's just in need of a rechrome. I have a current transferable registration the owner kept the car insuraed and registered the entire 20 yrs it was stored. If you do a little research this comes back as an opera coupe but it has a full back seat so it may have been added at some time along the way. This is one cool car just the presence is impressive imagine driving it down the road?! Please ask me anything you need to know before you bid I will send more pictures if you need them. I don't see cars like this often and the one buick forum I found said there was only 14 registered with them as of 2014 and I know less than 3500 were produced in 1939. Thanks for looking and good luck.On Mar-19-16 at 07:39:18 PDT, eller added the following information:

**. WE HAVE THE MOTOR RUNNING AND IT SOUNDS GREAT!!! we used a plastic fuel can to feed fuel to the pump and to the carb the idle is smooth and the motor run's sweet! so grab this piece of history and run it around for people to see what WE BUILT HERE IN THE U.S.A.

I HAVE LOWERED THE RESERVE! DON'T LET IT SLIP THROUGH YOUR FINGERS!! If it doesn't sell I am considering a full resto and that would bring this car into the 30,000 dollar area or more so grab it now while it's affordable...
