1986 Buick Regal Description

1986 Buick Regal T-Type turbo hardtop. Salvage rebuilt title (no idea, was like that when I got it) 3.8 liter v6 turbocharged and intercooled. 200r4 automatic transmission. Power windows, cruise, tilt, ac, rear defog, concert sound, power antenna, bucket seats, limited slip rear end, cd player. Body is in reasonable shape but it does have rust especially in the doors. The rest of the body is easily repairable. The floors and frame are in very good shape. The spare tire well is rusted and needs to be replaced. The rest of the trunk is good. The driver side door needs to be replaced, the passenger side is repairable although doors are cheap and easy to come by. It has new fiberglass bumper filler and a fiberglass hood. I bought the car with the intention of restoring it but have since gotten another car that I have been trying to buy for 15 years. This car runs and drives very well. The engine sounds good with no strange noises or smoke. It makes lots of power and will fry the tires at will. The transmission shifts perfectly and the torque converter locks up like it should. I bought the car knowing it needed a turbo. I put a Precision 5931E turbo on it and high boost actuator. I also put a Arizona GN stainless 3" downpipe on it with test pipe. It has a hotwired Walbro 340 in tank pump (according to previous owner), Accufab adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and 32# injectors. It has an older Hooker catback exhaust system on it that sounds pretty good. It is currently on 18 psi boost with no knock (minimum boost with high boost actuator). Add race gas or alcohol injection and crank up the boost and make a lot more power. The car has new tires and brakes. It also has a recent battery. All the fluids were just changed and the spring cleaning was done. (plugs, wires, fuel filter, 02 sensor). The interior is in pretty good shape for the age. The driver's side seat has a tear in it but the rest of the upholstery is in pretty good shape. The carpet is dirty but can probably be cleaned and the floor mats are worn. It has a new headliner. The dash has a couple cracks, but not in terrible shape. It has some aftermarket instrumentation. The boost gauge quit working and I have ordered a replacement. The oil pressure gauge was never hooked up. The scanmaster was installed poorly and worked sporadically so I plan to address that.
Overall, the car is a solid driver quality car. It starts easily and runs smooth. It is very fun to drive and makes a lot of power. With some paint and body work, it could be a lot nicer. I have decided to offer the car in as is condition to see if there is any interest. If it doesn't meet reserve price I will replace the doors and do the body and paint work and offer it again for more money. I am happy to send more pictures and answer any questions. I welcome inspections prior to auction end and will make every effort to make myself available for a prospective buyer to inspect it. To demonstrate my confidence in this car, I am willing to deliver it for free within 1000 miles or so to a major airport where I can get a return flight. The car is being sold in as is condition with no warranty expressed or implied. I have described the car to the best of my ability and made no attempt to hide anything. That being said, the time to inspect the car is prior to auction close, not when the car is delivered. The reserve price is that of a parts car. In fact, I have paid more for intercooled parts cars in the past. I will not disclose the reserve price and I won't add a buy it now price.
