Up for sale is my 1987 Buick Grand National that I have owned since 2010. Now the car sits in the garage much more than it is driven so I have decided to pass it on to a new home that will get it out on the road and enjoy the car. In the last 8 years, I have put only 7,000 trouble free miles on the car. It has always lived in the garage and never spent the night outside. The car is a wonderful driver and even has functioning A/C that cools in the Florida heat. I have used the car as a weekend cruiser and as stock parts were in need of replacement, I have taken that opportunity to upgrade the following items.
-Te-60 turbo
-MAF Translator
-Lt-1 Mass Airflow Sensor
-CAS V2 front mount intercooler
-Ramcharger dual electric fans with Caspers wiring harness
-Terry Houston 3" stainless steel down-pipe
-Alkycontrol progressive alcohol injection system
-80 lb/hr Siemens deka injectors
-TurboTweak 6.1 Wideband self-tuning chip
-Powerlogger
Along with the above upgrades, the seats just had new covers installed front and rear. The carpet was also replaced along with a fresh headliner. The interior also has 5 additional gauges installed to complement the factory warning lights in the dash. The factory digital tach and boost gauge have been repaired by Caspers Electronics. The power windows and locks both work well. Both drivers and passenger windows seal best when rolled up with the doors open and then shut. The steering wheel shows some wear as illustrated in the photos. As with many 30 year old cars, there are some minor issues but these do not detract from the overall quality of the vehicle.
The car has been repainted in the past and still provides a shiny exterior. As with many older repaints, there are some areas that show wear and blemishes in the paint, sand marks, and a few road chips. The paint has some bubbles in the hood and roof, visible lines in the roof, along with some bubbles in the trunk. All of these specific blemishes have been photographed and will be provided below. The paint is great for an owner that intends on enjoying and driving the vehicle. This vehicle has been in Florida its whole life and is solid. I have taken photos of the bottom of the doors, quarters, and rockers to reinforce how solid this car is. It was purchased new by the Department of Justice Drug Enforcement and the previous owner provided some documentation. One of these documents will be below.
This Buick has been a wonderful vehicle that in all honesty I am reluctant to let go. Seeing as it sits more now than it gets driven, the best place for it is in the garage of someone who will drive and enjoy it. Please feel free to message me with any additional questions or photo requests as I want to provide the best virtual description of the car as I can. I attempted to attach additional photos to the description but it changed the entire format and made them difficult to view. I have many additional photos available. Please feel free to contact me for any specific photo requests and I will send them as soon as I am able.
