1987 Buick Regal T TYPE Description

Hello, up for bid is my 1987 Buick Regal T-Type. It’s a dark maroon/cherry color with T-Tops. The 86-87 Buick Regal T-Types are one of the most desired models since they are intercooled, unlike previous years. This Regal has had several upgrades done to it by the previous owner such as Vacuum brake booster conversion, Cat back stainless steel ATR exhaust, rebuilt turbo, transmission shirt kit, forged internals (I have not taken off the oil pan to verify this though), Comp cam, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, larger injectors, high flow fuel pump, and a performance chip.

The car is really quick and I wanted to keep it, paint it black, and make a GNX clone, but since I live in the communist state of California where cars (1975 and up) that make up less than 5% of all cars on the road still have to conform to the tree huggers clean air act, she got replaced by a pre-smog project and needs to find a new home. This Regal is originally from upstate New York and will come with a title which reflects so. The original owner included a folder with paper receipts and thumb drive with all the information on mods and servicing which I will also give to the winning bidder. I’m not looking for a fortune for the car, just what is fair.

The original owner told me the reason why the vehicle has an 86 grille is because an unknown person backed into the original 87 grille breaking off some of the fins and the only replacement he could find at the time was an 86 grille. Some of the things which will need to be addressed are: Two spots on the hood where oxidation has started, the driver’s seat has a small tear as does the passenger seat, the T-tops leak (as do all GM T-tops cars ever built), The passenger side front filler panel will need to be replaced, The driver’s side also has some cracking and will need to be replaced at some point (I will be including two front fiberglass replacement filler panels which will need to be painted and installed) Some jerk broke off the shaft on the retractable power antenna, and the original owner replaced the odometer with a lower mileage one which currently reads 64,500+ because the original had stopped working. There is a small area of rust in the drivers side T-Top front channel which will need to be replaced at some point. The kit is available on eBay for $350 for the whole kit which includes everything, or you can probably find just that portion for cheaper.

According to the previous owner, original mileage on the chassis was about 105,000 before the speedometer was replaced. I’ve probably put about 3000 miles on it and changed the oil while adding Lucas oil stabilizer recently. Remember this is an over 30 year old car and won’t run like a new car from a dealership. It is what it is and that’s what it is, no more, no less. I will also be listing the car locally so I have the right to end the auction at any time.

I've been as honest as I can about the car and If you need more pictures, send me a message and tell me what photos you want so I can send them. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and from a previous experiences, it cost me $1200 to ship a car from the east to the west coast. No international buyers. A $500 Paypal deposit required within 72 hours of winning the bid. Remainder is to be paid by wire transfer or certified bank check no later than one week after auction closes. If payment is made by check, vehicle will be shipped once the check clears.

Please don't be a clown and waste my time like the last non-paying bidder did making up some BS story about a dying family member and having to make an emergency move out of town, then ignoring phone calls and emails. eBay listings aren’t free so don’t waste my time or yours, with that being said, Thank you for looking.
