Up for sale is my 1981 Z28 that I purchased from the original owners; it was located in Georgia most of it's life. They ordered this car special with the LM1 350 4 barrel, with 3.08 rear gears. It also has A/C, tilt, AM/FM, and the older style five spoke wheels with new BFG T/A's. The A/C compressor is missing, but the dash and firewall stuff is all there.
My reasons are two-fold. I hate having it just sit in storage, I've only driven it twice this year; once to a wedding, and once to a funeral, both car guys. The other is that we need more money to help with our house remodel project.
I figure if I sell it, hopefully it'll get driven more and enjoyed, and we can get our house finished. Win/Win!
It is an original car other than the paint, and headers that the original owner put on a long time ago. The body is solid except for an unusual spot behind the driver's seat. It wasthe seam where the front and rear floor sections overlap. The passenger side is solid. Strange.
I had it repainted because the paint was baked from the Southern sun. The T-tops seals were replaced, also the trunk seal, and of course, the stripe kit. The spoilers and wheel flares are all the originals.
It drives great and solid since it only has 45,000 miles on it. Still has original steering, shocks. Brake system is new including lines, wheel cylinders, calipers, hardware kits, and master cylinder.
It has the blue cloth interior, the front seats are not original, but close. They were changed by the original owner due to sun damage to originals. The dash was cracked from the GA sun, so I added a dashcap that looks great.
It is not a perfect show car, but is a nice driver. Drives straight and solid.
