I bought this Z-28 brand new in 1981, and have had it ever since. But now my wife says it’s time for it togo. The Z has always been garaged, andhas never been driven in snow. The caris all original, with just a few exceptions as noted below. The car runs great, and has the best steering of any vehicle I have ever owned. This is the last ofthe second generation Camaros, before they downsized them to the IROCsize. It is a fantastic drivingcar. Some specific details:
Mileage - 70,176
T-tops - are both original and include the storage bags for thetrunk
Manual shift - when I first bought the car I had the stock shiftreplaced by a Hurst shift
Engine - 305 air injected - that’s the largest they put in with a manual shift- it is original to the car
Interior - black, front buckets with center console
Tires - are new, and are replicas of what were originally on thecar
Paint - is all new, the original color and with the originalstriping pattern. This paint job wasprofessionally done and is exceptional
Carpet - is new
Head liner - is new
Rear deck - is new
Weather seals - are new - T-tops, doors and windows
Wheels - original to the car
Body - no dents, no rust
Note: the car has theoriginal catalytic converter, which now gets hot when the car runs. Depending upon your state, you can eitherreplace it, or pull it out and replace it with a piece of tube instead.
There is very little that needs to be done to this car to make itessentially like the day I got it. Ithas been my baby for almost 40 years.
