1987 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Deluxe Description

I finally have to part with my 1987 Chevy Custom Deluxe 10, I've got no space to store an keep this truck away from the elements this winter and I'd like to see someone else use and enjoy it. This truck wears it's original red paint, although I did notice there may have just been a little bit of paint work done on the top left bed side. It has NOT been rusty and then repaired, it does have a bit of the usual cab corner rust that all square body GM trucks are notorious for, I've shown it in the photos. There are a few spots in the paint here and there where there has been some paint loss, a few rock chips and paint touch-ups (done by a previous owner), nothing real serious, but I want you to know it is not flawless. No rust in the wheel lips, there is no rot in the cab mounts or inner fenders, it's clean. I'm guessing the truck belonged to a snowbird who lived in Northwest Iowa and must have driven it in the spring, summer and fall as it doesn't have crusty scale built up on the underside of the truck. The truck has 51k on the odometer and I believe that is the actual miles, it does have an old oil change tag in it showing 39k miles from way back in 2004, so I'm inclined to believe it did not accumulate a lot of miles over the years. The truck has the fuel-injected 4.3 V6, hooked up to a three-speed automatic trans (not equipped with overdrive). I lowered the truck with 2" drop spindles and a rear flip kit, I also added new shocks at the front and air shocks in back when I lowered it. Front end was aligned and worn parts replaced when I lowered it as well. The truck runs and drives great, tracks down the road straight and is still able to be used like a truck to haul things. Does have the typical GM leaky valve guide seals, so it does occasionally puff a bit of smoke at start-up. Transmission shifts and operates smoothly.Interior is clean and all original, rubber floor mat looks good, seat cover is still nice and the dash pad is super clean and not cracked or broken. Gauges all work, has an old-school GM AM radio that works. Has power steering and power brakes as well. Truck was equipped with dealer add-on air conditioning, although the compressor spins and looks good, it did not have a belt on it when I got the truck and I just never measured it to get a new one and try it out. It has always been a second vehicle to me and I just drove it to work and to local cruise nights and car shows. I've owned it for three years and it has been lightly driven and well-cared for. Gas tank has been replaced, muffler and tailpipe have been replaced, carrier bearing has been replaced, rear end was rebuilt and has a set of newly powder coated wheels. Sorry, the wheel caps shown were gifted to a friend in my car club, but I have a set of good baby moons that have replaced them. It's a neat old truck, but I just don't have the room to store it indoors so it would stay as nice as it is. If you're into these square body trucks, you know how hard it is to find, a clean, unmolested truck that hasn't been lathered up with plastic body filler and resprayed, this truck isn't hiding anything. I've got plenty of photos and tried to describe it the best I can, but if you have any questions, just ask. The truck is turn key, but it does have a few minor issues, there is also a small rock chip in the windshield that looks to have been filled at some point, rear axle could use a shim kit after the truck was lowered as it does have a slight vibration at highway speed, A/C is not working (no belt) and it does drip a small bit of oil when it sits. I just want to make sure you know that it is not a new truck or a show truck, it is not flawless.A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $250 will be due at the time of purchase, the remaining balance can be paid by cashier's check (must clear my bank before truck is picked-up), wire transfer, cash if you are picking it up in person or Paypal. Balance must be paid within 72 hours and vehicle must be picked up within 30 days. Transportation arrangements and the cost of transports are the BUYERS responsibility. This is a used vehicle, it will show signs of wear and use, it is not mint, perfect or mechanically flawless and is sold as is, no warranty. Thanks for looking and good luck!
