1959 Chevrolet Apache 3100 with the DELUXE cab and big back window.
EXTERIOR:
This truck features a straight and solid body and nice driver quality paint. There are no noticeable areas of rust anywhere on the truck. The paint is a few years old, it looks like, but still looks great. The window glass is all solid with no chips or cracks. The wheels and tires are in great shape as is the wood bed. All the chrome, including the bumpers, is in excellent condition.
INTERIOR:
The custom vinyl interior has a few years on it as well, but is holding up great. The speedometer is working and seems to be pretty accurate. The rubber floor mat is solid with no tears or cracks. The windows roll up and down without any fuss and the doors open and close like they should.
MECHANICAL:
The inline 6 and 3 speed manual transmission work great. It took me a few trips in the truck to get reaquainted with Chevy’s column-shift 3-speed, but once familiar it runs up and down the road with ease. The clutch and brakes are fantastic, as is the manual steering. The engine seems pretty strong for what it is and doesn’t seem to leak any fluids that I’ve noticed.
