1956 CHEVROLET 210 2 DOOR SEDAN B56T154794 Campaigned a 56' Chevy 2 door sedan 1967 - 68 as an E/MP while finishing my Army enlistment after Vietnam. Many class wins with 1 top eliminator under the belt. Sold the rolling chassis and kept the drive train and the EGT system and went home to Michigan then 4 months later relocated in West Palm Beach. Fast forward ahead 2003 Turkey Rod run Daytona bought a non running 56 Chevy just like the one I raced 35 years earlier. I cloned this car to the E/MP of 1967-68 as close as possible. Used as much of old drive train and lettering and color scheme as possible. Installed new floor pans, and both lower rear 1/4 and rocker panels. Car maintains stock look and features a sun visor, full bumpers and trim pieces. With new original carpet, door panels and rear seat aluminum treatment. (No back seat) Stripped down to bare metal, repainted in spray booth. Rebuilt entire suspension. Installed 2 comp race seats upholstered with approved harnesses. Installed full roll cage with the driver door bar that swings for easy access. Ford 9" rear on station wagon springs with Aerospace disc at all 4 corners. Wheelie bars for traction concerns. Have 2 pumpkins 4:88 & 4:11 has 50/50 shocks rear and 90/10 front. Muncie 4 speed 2:52 low. Hurst competition shifter, Ram clutch system 33lb wheel 10" disc, Drive shaft loop, Lakewood steel bell housing. High torque starter motor. Engine 355 cubic inch. Can supply engine blue printing record. Engine set back slightly on solid motor mounts, fire wall recessed for distributor. Comp roller cam grind XR292-R10, .582 lift 292 duration on intake, Holley double pumper 850, MSD 6AL ignition and distributor. Heads 2.02 pro top line 200. Flat top pistons, Entire assembly balanced. Fuel cells rear 15 gallon (street) and 2 gallon front (race) with 1/2" lines. Gas cool ice can after mechanical fuel pump. Radiator catch can, rear mounted battery with master cut off switch on rear bumper. Front wheel line lock. EGT thermo couples in headers with dash mounted aviation guage. Runs will on Regular 90 octane fuel with lead additive. Have log book of every run from 2005 to present. Always garaged. Have bolt on mufflers and stock wheels for street use. *Stickers/graphics are removable
