1968 Chevrolet C-10 Description

1968 Chevrolet C10 *COLD AC* nut & bolt ~FRAME OFF~ *AIR RIDE* custom

This beautiful custom C10 was frame-off restored using the best components and completed late last year. The truck has been sorted out and performs flawlessly. It was built as a daily driver with reliability and durability in mind. Everything is tuned and in working order including the aftermarket AC that was added to the factory AC cab.

EXTERIOR:

The body was taken down to bare metal and what little body work that was required was all professionally done. Very little filler in this super clean C10. The Chrysler Inferno Red paint was applied and the resulting shine and luster is impressive. The body is straight as an arrow and the paint is borderline show quality. It would qualify as the nicest driver paint you’ll see on the street.

Every single chrome piece, including bumpers, was replaced. The bottom side, when detailed, is as nice as the top. All of the suspension components were powder coated and reassembled with new stainless hardware. The 17x8 and 17x10 staggered torque thrust II wheels are wrapped in new Nitto rubber. The fronts are 255/50 and the rear pair are 275/50.

The wood bed was replaced with all new wood that was whitewashed for a very tasteful and unique appearance that will set you apart from the other C10s on the road or at the shows. The window glass is all perfect and the door glass rolls up and down with ease. All lenses, bezels and trim were replaced with new parts.

INTERIOR:

The custom saddle leather was installed throughout the interior and is the perfect compliment for the dark red exterior. A modern Silverado seat was used and cupholders installed prior to being wrapped in the supple leather. The Old Air Products A/C setup will keep you cool all summer long and utilizes the factory vents. A new CPP steering column was installed and the shift indicator matches the 4 speed transmission.

A factory style radio with AUX input is a subtle face for a really well thought out stereo system. The fuel tank was relocated under the bed to make room for the JL Audio W3 12” subwoofer and Alpine 6x9s behind the seat. The Dakota Digital gauge cluster works great and seems to be very accurate. All new weatherstripping will keep the cold air in and the wind noise out.

MECHANICAL:

The aluminum-headed 350 small block Chevy has forged internals and was built with reliability in mind. It performs great on pump gas and fires up every time with a single pump of the throttle, thanks to the Edelbrock carb with electric choke. The 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission pairs perfectly, via a custom fabricated driveshaft, with the 10-bolt posi with 3.73 gears. The C10 cruises at highway speeds with no problem. The truck is truly a joy to drive at 70-75 mph. An aluminum radiator with twin electric fans keep things cool up front and have proven themselves in 90 degree heat while sitting in traffic, running the AC no less!

The power disc brakes and power steering allow you to operate the truck with ease. It stops and steers like a newer truck, which is comforting when negotiating traffic and parking lots. The Optima battery and brand new wiring harness ensures the truck will start every time and you’ll have all the confidence to drive this truck anywhere you want to go.

Of course there is no shortage of chrome and polished pieces under the hood, but again done in a tasteful manner. The aluminum serpentine belt setup keeps all the accessories tidy and looking good. No detail was overlooked in constructing this amazing C10 pickup. Feel free to call/text/email with any questions or requests for additional info.
