JUST IN TIME FOR SUMMER!!!

So the summer months are upon us and it’s evident! If you’ve been longing to have little fun “driving this cool Chevy” may just be what the doctor ordered!

Presented here and now for your consideration is one incredible 1967 Chevy C-30 truck “presented in an amazing shade of Gloss Black”!

I will do my best to explain why I think that this vintage Chevy is not only a fantastic truck but also an incredible investment!

Please allow me to give a hand full of details regarding its condition, drivability & history.

I was informed about this particular truck through an acquaintance from the state of Illinois.

He informed me that a vintage car collector in his area was parting with a few vehicles from his inventory to invest in a new business venture.

At any rate after my friend happened to visit his showroom he called me about the one vehicle he quickly fell in love with!

Once the conversation ended I was convinced that it was a vintage truck that I needed to see.

The vehicle was actually sold new at Dralle Chevy in Illinois. It made it to the hands of the second owner sometime after 1988.

Being a local school teacher allowed him to utilize the truck quite extensively over decade after purchasing it. However when he purchased his new Silverado it began to see much less action. That did not deter him from starting a full blown restoration in 2013.

He first contracted Schrurman’s Auto Body in Petersburg to produce the enamel paint that would be laid after the necessary body work was complete (accident free vehicle).

The green light was given to incorporate the new material to panels until each passed the litmus test for correct continuity.

All of the factory gaps & line specifications follow original guidelines.

By all accounts the paint is extremely smooth and maintains a high gloss shine at any given time of day! Most consider me a harsh critic however I have no problem saying that a few areas could have been attended to better in the body prep department.

That being said the vehicle shows well and garners attention each & every time it leaves the garage!

Total nostalgia is in full effect when cruising down the freeway!

The front bumper was replaced with a N.O.S. one from Justice Chevy. A new windshield was also installed at that time (receipts included).

A brand new tool box was attached to the bed for flair (excellent shape)!

A beautiful GT style racing stripe was added that provides excellent contrast!

The headlight bezels were replaced along with the grill components & wipers.

Much has been done to make sure she is very respectable for the next 50 years (it’s already made it through the first 50)!

She’s ready for any venue,

SHOW OR GO

Now that we have talked about the vintage Chevy trucks exterior lets discuss what she has to offer inside!

Upon opening the door of this C-30 you will find a very accommodating interior!

The sandy taupe theme is immediately played out & evident upon entrance.

Again the contrast is truly striking and a major relief from all of the traditional black, gray & white upholstery packages in the market place today.

The leather bench seat truly must be seen to be appreciated! All of the original material was stripped off and new foam was added across the board.

Custom Auto Upholstery fabricated the new cover to blanket the original platform. The finished product is incredible! The seat is very comfortable and both upper / lower sections look amazing (excellent fit)!

Following close behind are the custom crafted door panels that happen to be in pristine shape! Each panel has new hardware & a perfect set of arm rest ordered from LMC truck in Petersburg, (receipts included)!

Up front you will find a beautifully restored dash that has been painted ‘shine gold”! The cockpit of the vehicle really brings the truck to life! Countless hours were spent sanding / blocking the dash to ensure it was show quality!

Yes…all of the gauges work!

It is nearly impossible to miss the matching quality steering wheel donned in the same color (completely restored…like new)!

Finally….. a new loop pile carpet was laid and a perfect pair of sun visors were added.

All and all I believe the interior coincides with the exterior wonderfully!

Now that I have given several reasons why you should love this Chevy…… Let’s talk about yet what powers it!

The heart and soul of this Bow Tie is its STOUT 350 engine!!!

This block engine is a little meaner than most!

It was completely rebuilt top to bottom a few years ago. The truck literally starts up with just a twist of the key!

The heads were machined, ported & polished during that time!

There was also a mild performance cam installed!

This classic Chevy really idles nice & sounds great when the throttle is engaged!

The fun doesn’t stop there….. an aftermarket aluminum intake was also added that really gives her an added performance punch!!!

A new Edlebrock performance carburetor was installed along with H.O plugs & wires from Summit Racing!

A brand new long life water pump and thermostat were added.

The radiator was refurbished by A to Z Radiator in Springfield, IL.

Charging is optimal thanks in part to a new battery, alternator & starter which were all recently installed.

The manifolds were ceramic coated & the master cylinder was replaced to ensure she stops on a dime!

THE ENGINE BAY LOOKS GREAT!!!

The truck just loves open road!

LET’S FIRE HER UP!!!

Just driving this 67 CHEVY is a blast! She seems to just hum along without issues for hours at a time!

Whenever you reach your point of destination she leaves you begging for more!

AS IF IT COULDN’T GET ANY BETTER!!!!

This truck has an excellent set of fully restored Dog Dish mag wheels! The look couldn’t be more fitting for this particular vehicle! There always seems to be someone making a comment about it no matter where you go “just the right touch’!

None of the rims have any road rash. A new set of raised white letter performance tires grace the wheels (less than 60 miles) ready for years of enjoyment!

Guys driving modern pick up trucks are totally taken by this one’s beauty!

Another great sticking point regarding this vehicle is its bull dog aggressive stance!

The car sits right and has the perfect ride height.

The main reason for that is due to its structural integrity! The car has had a host of suspension parts replaced & is also rock solid!

You may find another classic truck but you will be hard pressed to find one like this!

The time, effort & money spent restoring this vintage vehicle can’t be properly measured. That being said I have set a very reasonable reserve on it (just a fraction of the restoration cost)!

Excellent investment!
