1967 Chevrolet Camaro Description
I'm relisting the car in the hope that I can get it to a great home. NO RESERVE!
HISTORY:After owning this Camaro since 2011, it's time for a new project! I purchased this vehicle in Las Vegas and before I moved it to GA in 2013, it spent it's entire life in CA/NV. I have the complete ownership history, several registration receipts, and work/parts receipts dating back to 1989. Also included is the original owner's manual, owner protection plan (and Protect-O-Plate), 1967 optional accessories brochure, original air cleaner decal, and original bill of sale from 1967!
The previous owner lived in Las Vegas and purchased the vehicle in 2003 to work on with his son. They installed a late-model crate engine, and repainted from the factory gold to the blue with white racing stripes. They spent a good amount on the paint job, but if it were me, I would have taken it back and had some areas re-done. The paint is a 7/10, which didn't bother me because my intent for the car was to build a stout driveline that was fun to drive, both in terms of the experience and the fact that I didn't want to worry about rock chips!
I immediately went to work under the car and spent a couple months after work taking everything off (and I mean EVERYTHING), scrubbing and sanding down to metal where necessary, and repainting with Eastwood's Chassis Black on top of their primer. Same treatment to the trunk, using all Eastwood products. At this point, I decided to get after it and replace the fuel tank (with a Rick's stainless tank with internal Walbro 255LPH fuel pump), all brake lines, all fuel lines, rear/front suspension, engine, electric (forward of the firewall), etc.
ENGINE:The motor was built by Kell's automotive in Las Vegas, with a balanced rotating assembly from Lewis Racing Engines of Laytonville, CA. Lewis Racing Engines also supplied most of the engine parts. Here's a run-down:

Also had some gussets welded to solidify the connection between the axle tubes and rear end housing. If I was to keep the car, the next upgrade would be a built rear
ELECTRICAL:Hours and hours were spent refining the electrical system of the car using MAD Enterprises know-how and parts. I wanted to ensure the fuel injection didn't have any issues with poor grounds or other electrical problems. Therefore, The entire electrical system was checked, and upgraded in accordance with MAD Enterprises kits. Power points were made available at the lights and at the firewall. There is also a remote starter solenoid. All connections were crimped, soldered, taped, and shrink-wrapped. Main power to battery and starter is a 1/0 ga welding wire...very high quality. All gauges are Auto Meter Pro Comp and the speedo is electric. Relays are used to power the high- and low-beam headlights, turn signals, fuel pump, and electric fans.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:The car isn't perfect. I am doing my best to highlight any issues that need addressed, but please ask any questions and I'm happy to get in contact to take additional pictures, answer questions, video call, etc...
-Areas where the paint isn't perfect:--Drivers side roof has flaking top-coat (see picture)--Drivers side quarter behind wheel has a rust spot under the paint (see picture)--Drivers door has a paint bubble (99% sure it's not rust) (see picture)--Hood has a paint bubble (again, 99% sure it's not rust) (see picture)--Scratch on rear panel under passenger side of bumper (see picture)--Some paint chips on leading edge of driver's door (see picture)--Slight ding near Camaro emblem near driver's headlight (see picture)
-Rear spoiler is not flush with the back of the trunk.-Window mechanisms all work but could use adjustment-Some interior trim pieces need adjustment/refit-Couple missing exterior badges-SLIGHT transmission oil leak from the front, to the tune of a few drops a month. Not worth the time/effort to drop the transmission. I'll take a picture of my garage floor if you are curious...
All of these issues are minimal and don't detract from the car's clean appearance. You don't need to spend a lot to get this car close to perfect.
ADDITIONAL THINGS TO KNOW:-Car doesn't have heater or A/C. Only the A/C compressor. Holley EFI computer is attached to the panel used to cover the heater core opening.-Car doesn't have wiper motor. Wipers/linkage remains, but the valve covers are too tall so I attached the hydraulic clutch reservoir to the panel covering where the wiper motor should be.
BOTTOM LINE:I built the car to drive and enjoy, which is why I never repainted. I put about 3,000 miles on the car since 2011, when I purchased it, but the milage is unknown. There are about 2,500 miles since the engine was rebuilt, and about 1,000 since I replaced the cam in 2014. The car is EXTREMELY fun to drive, and it wants to go, and stop...the brakes pull hard! The steering is precise and responsive. I have tried to represent the car as honestly as possible, so please ask as many questions as you want...I'm happy to go over everything. I'm an honest person and want the next owner to be confident in their purchase. Having said that, there is no warranty, or returns.
I will accept the $1000 deposit through PayPal; however, the remaining money must be sent via cashiers check from your bank, or cash. Buyer responsible for arranging shipping.
I have just over $50k into the car, with the receipts to prove it, so I think the starting bid is an absolute STEAL. Please feel confident to bid on this awesome car! If you have questions/comments, need additional pictures/videos, please don't hesitate to call or text me (Joe) at 229-460-3285. Good luck!
