1972 Chevrolet Corvette Description

I have for sale I guess you could call it a garage find.

I found this car about a month or so ago, It had sat for a few years as the previous owner passed away.

It is a numbers matching 1972 Corvette with less than 70,000 miles. The car does run, drive and stop pretty well. The brakes have been gone thru. I drained as much of the old fuel out of the tank as possible.

Has new carb and plugs...

The Corvette was originally Sunflower Yellow but was painted a medium Brown sometime in the 80's. I have an old photo album of the car before paint and during the process. It doesn't appear from the photos that the car had any body damage prior to the paint job...

The engine and trans operate as they should, runs good and shifts well...

The bodywork and paint I would refer to as driver quality, its not bad but not show quality..

The paint does have minor chips and scratches but over all in good shape...

The interior is in good condition and doesn't appear to have been ever taken apart..

All lights and gauges work as they should except the clock.

The headlights and wiper door work as they should...

Carhas factory air conditioning and appears to have all parts for the ac except the fast idle switch on the carb but is not operating at this time, may just need a recharge..

Heater functions as it should.

The frame does have rust in the rear corners (pictured)

I would guess its solid enough to drive on for the rest of the season but will need toaddress.

The birdcage and the windshield frame appear to be completely solid...

The Corvette does appear to have had the u-joints on the half shafts replaced at sometime in the not so distant past but probably could used the trailing arm bushing replaced as sometimes when driving you can feel a clunk when coming to a stop and accelerating from a stop.. Not always, but sometimes.

I guess in all I would refer to this as a running driving 1972 Corvette project.. It is complete and drivable. I wouldn't recommend any long distance road trips but for local cruising it does fine..

It is the last year for thechrome bumpers, pop out rear window, and fender vents...

These are getting harder and harder to come by at reasonable prices in any condition...

The reserve is very reasonable for the condition.....

I have a clean and clear title in my name...
