1966 Chevrolet Caprice Description

For sale is a 1966 Caprice coupe with the bucket seat option. The body is in very nice condition with no rust except at the typical locations at the left hand and right hand lower back windshield under the vinyl top. The only other body issues that I can see are a very small dent or indentation on the RH quarter panel as seen in the pictures and the right front fender was replaced at some time in it's life and I believe it came from a super sport. I believe this fender had some rust on it's lower location and was repaired. The rest of the body is very solid and the trunk is original and seems to be rust free. This car is innice condition but can use a freshen up or total restoration. It was always well cared for which is apparent by seeing these pictures. It's a bit worn from age and it has some issues such as those listed plus there is atear in the drivers bucket seatand the power seat does not work all the time but it's all from normal wear andnothing was ever abused on this car and it is complete. You will not have to search to find those hard to find missing parts and if you do they will almost never be in the nice condition as this car's.It was repainted it's original color years ago and it is peeling in places andthere are some scratches of paint as on the RH front fender. I believe the dash was repainted also. The vinyl top was also replaced and the bumpers are nice and very solid. It runs but it needs a tune up and the brakes need to be checked after sitting for eleven years. It blows some smoke out of the exhaust and there is always some transmission fluid sitting under the car when it's stored for a while. The drivers side front window will not work most of the time and I believe it is because there is a broken wire in the harness which connects the door to the body.It is very well optioned with a numbers matching big block 325 HP 396 engine connected to it's turbo-hydramatic 400 transmission. It has air conditioning, tinted glass, AM/FM radio along with the rare factory Stereo multiplex unit with console mounted controls and indicator light. It also has power steering, power brakes, front and rear bumper guards, wire wheel covers, deluxe seat belts, power bucket seat, hazard flasher, tilt telescoping steering wheel, headrests, remote control driversside mirrorand power windows. It's not perfect but it is not being sold as being that. It is hard to find a used well cared for, unrestored Caprice in this nice condition which was never abused. If you want to make it into a nice weekend driver or a show winner this car is the perfect candidate. I doubt there are many 1966Caprice coupes out there that are in this nice basically unrestored condition where it is complete and it's components, because they were so well cared for,can easily be restored and made into a stunning automobile. On top of that you can have a car with all these rare and hard to find options in one package.A nice combination. To make this offer even better I will include with this auction tothe winning bidder an absolutelybeautiful, still in it's original box, correct 1966 GM AC NOS in dash tachometer for this car along with it's matching usedvery nice condition console clock to make this car's rareoption package even rarer. This car is being sold as is.
