1972 Chevrolet Suburban C20 Description

1972 Chevy C20 Suburban

Up for sale is one of those builds that was done with the intention that "I will never sell this!"... Well, its for sale...... But what that meant to me was to leave nothing untouched. So as you look at this truck, if you think its new, it probably is. I built this to drive my kids around in so i didn't want any problems. So i did things like a $4500 trans, all new electrical, all new interior, all new dash, rebuilt rear end. It is very unusual to see a project done to this level... Before I built this I looked to see what was for sale on the market andcouldn't find anything this nice.

Real frame off resto. All frame, front and rear suspension, core support, fender wells were powder coated, underside of body was rhino lined. Photos available of when this was done. All new body bushings, suspension parts, wheel bearings, brakes, brake cables, trans/fuel/vac/ brake hard and soft lines replaced, ac hoses new, rebuilt oversized axle, new up size sway bars. New bumpers, grille, badges, lenses, lights.

All new alum AFR head 496 dressed to look stock. Block was only part reused. New pistons, rods, crank, bearings, rings, every nut and bolt, pumps, ac pump, alt, starter, intake, carb, Comp Ultra Pro roller rockers, roller cam, Arp bolts, stainless headers, new radiator, all new, everything new. New Hughes 4l80e with controller and th400 tail shaft, new flex plate, new converter. New drive shafts and heavy duty carrier bearing. Still babying it but even at part throttle, it has tons of power.

New sound/heat deadner under new carpet, recovered /new foam seats on new seat rails, new seat belts, new steering wheel even steering shaft bearings, new dash, new gauges, tach upgrade, heater core, fan, all vent seals, new heater controls, new knobs, new modern stereo that looks stock, new front door panels, all interior chrome parts, new arm rests, weather strip, window fuzzies, the list goes on.

100% of electrical replaced starting with a factory color coded rewire kit to replicate original. Everything works, even glove box light, LED head/tail light. To put in perspective, this harness was about $1700 and a professional was paid about $1500 to install, all new tip to toe.

No rust SoCal truck. Painted about 3 years ago prior to frame off. All weather strip replaced on doors. Definitely no rust. Wheels powder coated white. Has a few more little things to do make it perfect, but mostly items rarely noticed.

300 or so miles since complete at a cost of about 80k, all work done in last 24 months... Selling because I have too many projects.

On Sep-22-17 at 09:33:21 PDT, seller added the following information:

Notice the original brackets on the AC, they are very hard to find and cost about $600 or more.
I have tons of spare parts including the matching spare wheel, the AC plastic shroud for the rear, extra weather strip, pretty clean hub caps, 3rd row seat belts, original steering wheel andotheroriginal partsthat were taken off if you want them.
