Up for auction is a 1990 Chevy K5 Blazer Silverado 4x4. This truck belonged to a 75 year old farmer out of Sacramento CA where the vehicle has remained its entire life. It spent all 26 years of its life living on the farm as the owner’s daily driver. The truck has 128,690 original miles. Over the past 5 years the truck has spent most of its time in a barn due to the ailing health of the original owner. Photos of the Blazer were taken on April 7, 2016 with 128,675 miles on the odometer.
The Truck runs and drives tight and straight, but the service engine soon light flickers on and off occasionally. The truck has been taken to a GM service shop and the 02 sensor was replaced which erased the 02 sensor code. The code will come on and off while driving. The GM technician spent multiple hours trying to find the ground wire that is causing the 02 sensor to flicker on and off. In the technicians words, the truck runs strong and this can be a common problem for old GM trucks. The Blazer passed CA smog in February 2016 and the registration is paid through 2017.
All electronics work aside from the rear window switch. It works on and off from time to time. The AC Needs to be Charged! The windshield wipers, cruise control, 4x4, and the rest of the electronics function correctly. The original stereo remains inside the vehicle and it sounds great. The window sills are all original and they are cracked due to the sun, but the power windows remain fully functional.
The original jack and tire removal kit remains inside the engine compartment and the spare tire remains in the back. No modifications were ever made to the Blazer aside from 33” Cooper Discoverer tires and a slightly different exhaust. The Blazer is not lifted and still remains on its 15” Chevy Rally Sport wheels.
The undercarriage is completely rust free and the body is extremely straight. There are a few small dents that are hardly noticeable throughout the body, one being on the rear tailgate, one being near the drivers fender lip as well as the passengers fender lip. The factory Chalk markings still remain on the frame, floor pans, and firewall as well. The steering and suspension are tight and solid. The factory floor mats still remain inside the Blazer and the interior is complete without a single rip in any of the seats. The carpets do have some stains on them. The Blazer has been well cared for and enjoyed. Sold As is with all of the original Chevy books and documents aside from the window sticker. I will do all that I can to help the buyer arrange for shipping in a timely manner.
