1965 Factory Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu True “SS” 2 door Hardtop
This is a 138 code SS hardtop, see vin pic
Engine is 283 V8, VI205WA block code, also from 1965
Transmission has been changed to a TH350, 3 speed automatic, B&M
Runs like a champ, I'd drive it anywhere right now!!
Exterior:
Car is from Nevada, the "rust free" state. It does have some rust, but nothing critical showing. I've included some pics of bubbling in specific areas. I am happy to share more if you like. It also has some bondo in the fenders. It's been painted, it was originally gold -- just like it's well kept interior. It is exceptionally straight for a 50 year car. It is not car show quality, but not far off either.
Interior:
Almost all original, and amazingly well kept. Gauge cluster in good shape, all works but the clock. Even the dome and glove box light works. Carpet probably changed at one time -- in good shape. Dash is uncut. Aftermarket stereo fits and works nicely. Seat upholstery (white) and in good shape. Headliner in great shape no tears or holes.
Under the hood and trunk:
Engine well is nicely kept and looks very presentable. Same for the trunk, if it were any cleaner you'd eat off it. Extra parts seen in the trunk: trim, vent panels and original exhaust manifolds.
Chassis and Trim:
It has upgraded A-arms, springs, sway, torsion bars and shocks. All CPP and recent. Drives solid! Radial G/T tires in good sape on 14" rally rims. Upgraded CPP Brake Power Booster. 4 wheel drum Brakes work fine.
As you know SS (Super Sport package) meant lots of stainless and chrome trim. This car has all of it except for the bezels around the headlight (in the trunk). Grill has been blacked-out. Much of this trim is BIG dollars, and it's in tact. Emblems in place too. Chrome and glass in good shape.
Clean title, in my name. Runs great and registered in California 2017.
