1987 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport
1987 Chevrolet El Camino Supersport Description
1987 Chevrolet El Camino SS, real Z15 SS option. Last year for the El Camino, and this one is in very good condition. equipped with the 305V8, overdrive trans, Power windows and locks, a/c is cold and heat is hot. It is very solid, and does not have the usual Gbody rust. the floors are solid, as is the rockers and quarter panels. the only rustI have found is surface rust only starting on the bottom of the driver door.
It also has a small crease in the driver door and fender, pics are included but the crease is hard to notice. the paint on the roof is fading, and starting to dull on the top of driver fender and door. the silver paint on the lower body is also looking dull. the rest of the car is presentable and shines. the car really looks and shows well considering it is 30 years old, im just picky about details.
the interior is in presentable condition and complete. the dash has cracks, the seats are not torn. the carpet was replaced this past summer, the headliner will need replaced. it started sagging this past summer. the windshield is cracked across the very top.
in the past year I have replaced the radiator, water pump, and thermostat, as well as power window motors. the tires have less than 1,000 miles on them, and the rally wheels were refinished. I originally planned to do an ls swap, and keep it looking as stock as possible since it was so solid, but I have other interests in mind now and not enough time or room. this is a good looking, running, driving El Camino, I have enjoyed driving it on the weekends and to local shows this past summer. it could be perfect with very little effort, or it would make a great daily or weekend driver as it is.
I will try to answer any questions promptly, and anyone with serious interest is encouraged to see the car in person.
