1972 Chevrolet Impala Wagon Description

1972 Chevrolet Kingswood Estate Wagon with just 99,000 original 3 owner miles. This super clean clamshell Wagon spent it’s life in California before being shipped to Ohio in 2016 where it took on a very well done ressurection with a professional Mercedes red paint with new flawless wood grain. It still wears the Cali license plates. Car has NEVER seen snow or harsh road salt and is currently stored in my heated garage. I purchased this car to finish the started project and drive as my shop car however I just bought 2 VW bus projects that now need my attention. I recently installed all new black carpet and had the front seat professionally reupholstered. The inside is remarkable with only a very minor/small tear in the headliner. All of the door seals have been replaced but in the future it could use the rear clamshell window rubber to be replaced as it is dry rotted. The seats and seat belts are in excellent condition. The dash board does not have any cracks. All the gauges work as they should. All 4 power windows work as does the rear clamshell. The clamshell tailgate and rear window work from the exterior key as well as the toggle switch on the dash. The engine is the original and highly sought after 400 small block and was recently rebuilt prior to me purchasing this car. Some of the original equipment was replaced when the engine was rebuilt for more of that Resto Mod look and better performance. The engine is now equipped with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. It is also now equipped with an HEI Distrubutor. This car starts, runs and drives flawlessly. The car is also equipped with a custom built Old Air Products Air Conditioning system that blows super cold air and looks great as well. The transmission works flawlessly and there are no leaks. The brakes are new on the rear and the front brakes are in excellent condition. The brake lines are also in excellent condition. Car stops as it should. The tires are in like new condition. The floor boards and frame are in excellent condition. I recently pressure washed and sanded the majority of the undercarriage to rid it of 45 years of road grime etc. The undercarriage, including frame was then “rust checked” and coated with a very nice black undercoat/paint. I almost always do this with any old classic because I like the look of a nice black undercarriage. This by no means is done to “cover” up any imperfections or rust. Purely asthetics. This car can be driven anywhere without issue and certainly gains a lot of attention. Clamshell wagons in this condition are becoming rare and nearly impossible to find especially with black interior. This car is 45 years old and does have a few minor imperfections as would be expected. There is a few very small bubbles in the paint as seen in the pictures however these are not noticeable from 5 feet. There is a few minor paint chips as well but absolutely nothing major or any hidden surprises. Also there is a very small hole in the trunk floorboard (presumably from the common rear side window leak) Car runs, drives and stops as it should with no issues. I am very confident the new owner will be impressed with this ride as I have tried to describe it in the best way possible. The pictures do not give this car justice as clearly I am not a professional photographer. The sun was giving me some issue. The car is a phenomenal bright but deep red.Bid and buy with confidence but please only bid if you have the funds and or approval to purchase this car. Please note that this is a quality driver/car show/ cruise in style car however you are not buying a Barrett Jackson quality car as I would rate it a strong 8 out of 10 overall condition. It has a very reasonable and fair reserve not like other “ classic car dealer” prices.$200.00 non refundable deposit required immediately and remainder of funds paid please in a reasonable time frame, prior to pick up of course. I pride myself on communication and honesty and am willing to work with a serious buyer.I can assist with the logistics of shipping if need be, however all costs are the responsibility of the buyer. I would suggest enclosed shipping due to the car’s excellent condition. Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or any further pictures and or videos you may request. I have several more photos available. Thanks and good luck.
