.
I have up for sale a True 1966 Impala SS. I have always wanted one of these cars so I jumped at the opportunity to get this Impala. When I purchased the car it was not in primer but I had it put on “ a few months ago” to preserve the rest of the body from the weather. The car will need a complete restoration but most of the major parts and pieces are already there to be completed. The car will need patches in the floor replaced as well as in the trunk. The engine that is in the car was believed to be the factory 327 but I am not sure. It has been partially broken down but all of the parts will come with it. I am not aware if the engines running condition before broken down. My plan was to either rebuild the engine if numbers matching or to do an LS swap to make the car a daily driver. The original center console is missing but I do have access to another one if needed as well as “some” other parts. I know that these cars are very valuable when completed and are very nice rides and I love the body style. However, I have a new born and he is currently taking all of my time and money.
Some good things about this car
- True 168 code Impala SS
- Factory AC car
- Factory Tilt Steering wheel
- Factory Bucket seats
- Everything is there for resto
- I have another passenger side fender that goes with it
- Believed to be factory engine
Needs attention in these areas
- Needs work on the floors and in the trunk
- Will need engine rebuild or replace
- Will need work on the rear quarters
- Full restoration project
If you are in the market for a great restoration project and you love the 66 impalas this is for you. I hate to let it go but I would love to see it go to someone who will bring this old classic back to life. The car is currently at the shop that was going to be doing some work for me and they will give you a great price on body work and engine repair. I am asking $5500 which I think is fair considering the fact that it will be worth at least 30k when completed. However, price is negotiable so please make an offer. The car will be sold with a notarized Bill of Sale as a title is not required or issued in the state of Alabama for a car of this vintage.
I am also interested in possible trades for GM Short wheel base trucks 67-87 and GM muscle cars. Prefer to Negotiate in person.
***CAR IS ALSO BEING SOLD LOCALLY SO IT MAY BE REMOVED AT ANYTIME**
I can show the car on the weekend or during the week by appointment. Please send text or call if seriously interested or for more pictures. My number is 205-240-8075
