1967 CAMARO SS PRO TOURING BIG BLOCK 396
1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS Description
For your consideration is a gorgeous 1967 Camaro ss 396 tribute car. This car started out as an original dry rust free body. there is not 1 patch or replacement body panel on this car. What it rolled off the assembly line with is still on the car body panel wise. It has had an intensive restoration. Every nut and bolt has been replaced or refinished with the highest amout of detail possible.
This Little red Camaro started its life as a 327 2 speed car with black standard interior and bolero red paint.
I aquired a 396 4 bolt main block fitted with a GM steel crank and steel rods. The pistons are forged TRW 10.5:1. Entire rotating assembly has been balanced.
I installed a Competition Cams hydraulic roller cam and lifters.
The cylinder heads are 781 castings that have been profesionally ported and polished and set up with new valves and springs to match tge camshaft.
The intake is a port matched Edelbrock Performer RPM air gap.
Carb is a 750 Barry Grant Gold claw
Headers are Hooker Supercomps
Ignition is handled by a complete MSD Digital 6plus, MSD pro billet distributer and blaster coil.
Exhaust is a complete mandrel bent 3" kit from flowmaster
The transmission is a bulet proof TH350 with a 4000stall converter.
The rear end is a correct 12 bolt posi totally rebuilt with 355 gears and c clip eliminator kit installed.
The entire suspension has been rebuilt using all new parts.
Front subframe has been blasted and powdercoated. Inner fenders and rad support have been poweated also
The front end consists of full tubular control arms with poly bushings, 1,1/4" sway bar with spherical rod ends, Wilwood 6 piston brakes take care of stopping duties.
The entire undercarriage has been detailed to show quality apperance. All original metal means clean clean clean. All pinch welds are tight and beautiful. You wont find a better example.
The fuel system is new throughout. New tank, #6 Russel lines from tank to Edelbrock 110 gph pump and from pump to carb.
The interior is in excellent condition but does show signs of use. It has the factory tach and gages which is a must for a car like this.
All brake lines and mounting hardware is from inline tube and are as correct as it gets.
Rear brakes are original drum and have been rebuilt.
The wheels are from american Racing, Torque Thrust 2s in 17"
fronts are 17x8 and rears are 17x9.5
Tires are Goodyear Eagle GS-C
Rear tires are at 50% but will be replaced with new once vehicle has been sold. Buyer chooses the tire, I will install.
The paint is about 15 years old and shows very very well. it has been meticulously sanded and polished for a glass like finish. There are a few small chips that i have included in the photos.
Stereo system consists of a Retro sound deck with blutooth. The amp is an infinity 100 wpc unit with Alpine 6x9. The system rocks.
All in all, This has got to be one of the best 67 Camaros around. It is an award winner. I have won many awards with this car. I own a vintage restoration shop here in canada and we take pride in what we do. This has been my personal car for many years and has only seen sunny days.
Since the resto, I would say that I have put no more than 10k miles on it if that.
I dont need to sell this car so there is a reserve. I know what its worth and know you cant build or have a car built to this standard for what my reserve is. Also, US buyers, take advantage of your money being worth much more than the Canadian dollar, you save huge here.
Transport of the vehicle is entirely up to the buyer but i will help with finding freight company if need be.
A Paypal deposit of 1500.00 at auctions end is required and cash or certified check on pickup. If paying with a certified check, Vehicle will not be released untill check clears at the bank.
