1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible Description

Just Completed Full Restoration with Only 766 Miles Since Build Completion, this fabulous 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible is finished in alluring Mulsanne Blue Metallic with Black Stripes over Black Interior. A true classic American muscle car, it's powered by a rebuilt 350c.i. V8 featuring 4bbl carburetors, and a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. This sensational Chevy cruiser also features; Front Bucket Seats, Black Power Soft Top, New BF Goodrich Tires, 5-spoke SS Wheels, Original 'Born-With' Engine Block,... Aluminum Intake Manifold, Corvette Aluminum Valve Covers. High-quality exterior repaint to original Mulsanne Blue, New Dash, Mark IV AC installed (07/10/1974), and added SS features (cowl induction hood, emblems, exhaust, bumpers, front grille, new gauges). Originally purchased at Cedar Rapids Iowa Chevrolet on 05/12/1971, this is a 3-owner car that was originally a 350c.i. Chevelle Malibu Convertible. Original sales receipt along with the owner's manual, build sheet, Protecto-plate, and some service invoices are included. This beautifully restored example is ready for its next owner to drive, show and enjoy for years to come. New emissions standards that really hindered the sport performance class were among the many obstacles that car makers had to overcome back in 1971, and GM had to limit certain aspects of the engines they were allowed to release with the Chevelle. It just so happened that the 454 Turbo Jet engine and 350ci engine were options that passed all of the new standards, and were offered as a factory-installed powerplant. The SS package was normally saved for the 350ci engine but the 454 could be put in as an option if the pocketbook allowed. Though the body styling was changed a bit from years before, nothing major occurred at this time and Chevy did an amazing job releasing a car that would stand the test of time.
