1971 Corvette Convertible Four Speed in Mulsanne Blue
1971 Chevrolet Corvette Description
Up for sale is my '71 Corvette convertible. If you are looking for a concourse Bloomington Gold or Triple Diamond car or are a dealer looking for a low ball deal, save your time and mine and keep looking. However, if you are looking for a nice #3 driver with just over 71,000 original miles for a decent price, consider my car.
I am the third titled owner of the car. The car spent its' entire life in the north Florida/south Georgia area. The original owner passed away and his son got the car. The son put the LT1 hood on the car. The son sold it to the guy I purchased the car from 23 years ago. He had the car painted and had the seats re-upholstered in the car's original blue. The paint is driver quality, done in it's original Mulsanne Blue (976). It has typical blemishes for 23 year old paint on a Vette, with scratches, minor cracks and touch ups. It looks great from 10 feet. If your desire is to keep it a driver, I wouldn't touch it. The gel coat is fine. The undercarriage, frame and bird cage are solid and rust free. The car has never been hit. The bumpers were re-chromed when the car was painted and they still show well. The car has power steering and power brakes. The 350 was replaced in the mid 1970's. The alternator, starter and battery are new. The four speed transmission is original. The headlight buckets open and close fine. The top is in good shape, with no rips, tears or fading. All gauges work, except clock. The radio is not original. The interior is driver quality with no rips, tears or cracks. Carpet is a bit faded. Car comes with new sun visors (originals faded) and A- pillar covers (originals cracked). It is missing the license plate frame. It was never re-installed after paint and the guy I got it from didn't care to get it back. They are fairly cheap and easy to get, if you care to have one. Car is tight and runs, drives, and stops very well.
This is an overall nice driver that you can jump in and cruise anywhere and take to local shows. The car is titled and registered in my name. Reserve is very reasonable and appropriate for this car. I will list elsewhere and reserve the right to end auction at anytime. Serious calls and bids only, please. No scammers and no third party sellers. I am temporarily out of storage space in my garage, as you can tell from the pictures. A $500 deposit is due withing 24 hours of sale and the rest due before the car leaves my possession. If this is something you're looking for, give me a call at (706) 836-4410. My name is Andy. Thanks for looking.
PS - I tried to go back and get the pictures to where you could enlarge/zoom in, but either it wouldn't let me, or I am too computer illiterate to figure it out...probably the latter. If you'd like more specific pictures, let me know and I'll email or text to you.
