This 1990 Corvette ZR-1 was purchased by William Stampley and remained in his possession, until his passing in 2016. He purchased anew Z06 in 2009 and the ZR-1 was seldom driven after that.
In 1989, before Chevrolet released the ZR-1, GM did a lot of testing on these cars. At the Factory, the first 300 cars that were to be released to the public, received "special attention". They received steel half shafts, special camshaft timing and were gone over with a fine tooth comb to insure optimum performance and reliability. This is car # 259 of those very early ZR-1 Corvettes and it is documented by the NCRS.
In 2017, I took the car to the NCRS Regionals at Eagle Crest near Redmond, Or. It received a "Top Fight" award. The car has its original numbers matching drivetrain and much more. The car has never been wrecked and still has its original paint and interior (carpet was replaced).
Out of the box, these Supercars would do 180 MPH and run in the 12 second range at the Dragstrip. Options include;
ZR1 Special Performance Pkg.
LT5 DOHC Engine
MN6 6 Speed Manual Trans
G92 Performance Axle
AQ9 Leather Sport Seats
U1F Delco Bose w/CD
24S Glass Roof panel
I can help with getting the car loaded on my end or fly in and drive it home. If you have questions, please feel free to call me @ 503-799-0099 Dean
