1962 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 bel air Description

1962 Chevrolet Bel Air Bubble Top Custom "Bubble Trouble"
Classic Car Fusion is excited to offer one of the cleanest 1962 Bel Air Bubble Top customs in California. Winning multiple awards during its time on the show circuit including 1st place Radical Hardtop at Sacramento's Autorama and 2nd place Radical Hardtop at the Grand National Roadster Show in 2013. Not just a show queen, this ground up custom is powered by a radical 620HP fuel injected small block. The body modifications are a list of literally every concievable custom mod including a 2.5" chop, 2.5" channel, tucked and frenched bumpers, frenched tail lights, nosed, decked and shaved, custom front bumper with '64 impala blades, solid billet side trim, and much more listed below. Finishing off the exterior is a deep PPG copper paint with gold pearl and matt clear contrasting all the brushed nickel plated brightwork.
The interior is just as radical with a full custom sheetmetal dash, console, package tray, and waterfall all painted to match the exterior. The seats are custom bucket jobs by Glide Engineering and match the Mercedes wool carpet and custom red-gold suede headliner. A bunch of Billet Specialties goodies round out the interior including a custom suede wrapped steering wheel, door handles, and stealth power window cranks.
Not just a show queen, the engine bay is where this immaculate 6-2 takes custom to the next level. Starting with a Dart Iron Eagle small-block 427 bored and stroked to 4.125/4.00, a set Chevy Performance splayed-valve, symmetrical-port heads give it an absolutely brutal exhaust note with an equally impressive power band. Only the best rotating assembly components were used including a Scat crank, Bill Miller pistons and Comp Cams 0.650-lift camshaft, topped with a hand built EFI manifold and custom built headers done by Jim Farley of Farley Performance and Engineering. Backed by mechanically satisfying Richmond 5-Speed racing transmission, the combo is good for 620 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque on the Dyno.
Putting all that power to the ground while staying menacingly low is taken care of by Ride Tech upper and lower control arms, custom fabbed four-link to a Ford 9" with 3.25 Auburn locker gears, and JRi coil over shocks. Steering is handled by a power rack and pinion and braking is taken care of by massive Sierra Racing Products disc brakes at all four corners. Finishing off the look are Billet Specialties Outlaw wheels in 18x9.5 at the rear and 18x8 at the front. The perfectly tucked wheels are custom finished with brushed nickel lips and body color centers and wrapped in Falken Azanis RT 615K tires 275/35R18 rears and 235/40R18 fronts.
As you can see from the pictures, there are many more custom components and modifications all of which will be listed below. Linked is also an article on the car from Hot Rod Magazine's April 2015 issue.
