I am reluctantly selling my 1959 Chevrolet Apache 32 Longbed Stepside pickup. The 32 represents the longbed model. It is the heavy half ton with 6 lug alloy wheels with helper leaf springs in the back. The wood in the bed is the original and still in fairly good shape. The frame is rust free and all the cab mounts are in great shape with undercoating on all of it. I love the patina on it also! Cardinal red with a repaint probably in the 80's half worn off by now with some metal showing in spots. I had it wet sanded with 3000g then 4000g then waxed and polished. This is a solid pickup that runs, sounds and looks great! It has been restored, not a frame off rotisserie though. It has a great running 305 V8 with great oil pressure. The 4 speed manual with granny first transmission has been rebuilt about 1200 miles ago. I had new dual exhaust installed along with many other new parts like new belts, hoses, aluminum radiator with electric fan, Edelbrock aluminum intake and carburetor, Edelbrock air cleaner, & aluminum Edelbrock valve covers. The entire drum brake system has been gone through and new master and wheel cylinders, brake shoes. The tires have about 1500 miles on them although they have a crack like a recap tire does. I love this truck and you will too! I had all the wiring gone through so all the lights and turn signals work properly. She is a daily driver and I can't go anywhere without someone commenting on it! The inside has electric Cadillac leather seats and custom woodworking, new wiring and a modern stereo with amp pre outs and input for your mp3 player or ipod to plug into. The stereo is installed in the original oval hole so the dash is not all hacked up. Custom alder wood speaker boxes contoured to the cab, new kick panels and speakers. I have a 500w amp with an 8 inch sub hooked up so it sounds pretty good. I also had a new heavier amp wire ran under the carped to upgrade the amp at some point. Custom alder wood dome light with eyeball lights, alder wood veneer headliner, new visors. Multiple layers of sound deadening insulation with jute padding and new carped everywhere in the cab so you can actually have a conversation or listen to the radio while driving. New window felt, new door seals, hood hinges and latch, new drivers door latch, sound deadner in door panels. I'm certain I forgot about several things that have been done. I believe I am the third owner and the pickup came from Kremling CO. Right now the truck is in Greeley Colorado area and is for sale locally as well. I reserve the right to sell locally. There is no implied warranty included in the sale. I drive this daily or as much as I can, about 150 miles weekly right now, I even drive it 75 mph on the Interstate for about 15 mile stretches. I don't think I'd do that for extended trips thou. It runs great, stops great, and has power steering by armstrong, haha and turns very nicely.
