Up for auction is my, 1961 Chevrolet Corvair Model 95 Rampside Pickup Hot Rod.
The mid engine SBC 406 cubic inch is fed through 2 Holley 4 barrel carbs and an Edelbrock Tunnel Ram manifold, coupled to a custom built 2 speed Power Glide manual shift transmission with a 3500 stall convertor, a cable operated Lokar shifter makes the shifts to a S10 Chevy rear axle. Gas tank is a custom built with approx 15 gallon capacity. Engine/trans has less than 5000 miles since it was built. GPS speedometer, dash mounted tachometer with shift light and also houses the oil pressure and water temperature gauges.
The 406 Chevy V8 is cooled by an electric Moroso water pump and an aluminum radiator with two electric fans located at the tailgate. The engine has a great sounding cam with a bumpy idle that runs as well as it sounds.
The Boss chrome wheels are in excellent condition with like new tires, the fronts are 225/40/18 and the rears are 235/50/18 which gives the truck a pro street stance.
Like new black interior with custom steering wheel. Comes with original radio but it doesn't work. Has all the original glass, none is cracked or broken but the door glass could use some new channels and weatherstrip. The door seals/weatherstrip and aluminum carpet edge is new. The rampside door and tailgate are in good working order.
The bright red paint is in excellent overall condition and has a deep smooth shine. This hot rod/street rod truck turns heads everywhere it goes and has the power and sound to make people take notice. Truck is a very nice driver. Hate to sell it but with my recent health issues I can’t enjoy it as I once could. If you want something unique, this should fit the bill, not many of these left and even less with a mid engine V8.
Please contact Keith at 405-209-7912 by phone or text if you have any questions. Inspections are welcome. If you want to see a video of the engine running or additional pics, please contact me. Truck is being sold as is where is with no warranty. A $1000.00 paypal deposit is required within 48 hrs of auction end and the balance to be paid either in cash in person or bank wire transfer within 7 days of auction end.
