1986 Chevrolet Blazer US Army Specs Description

You are looking at a 1986 US Army Chevy K5 Blazer. Current Ca. Tags, it Runs and drive great! These are the original miles(64,238) on it. These vehicles were hardy used and stayed mainly on/around the Military base for use. I know, because I’m Ex Army myself, and drove one back then. This particular K5 came out of Barstow CA./Fort Irwin CA. We(our friends) picked it up from there(US. Army depo) so we know. And drove it all the way to Northern CA, where it’s currently at. It was used off and on around the shop, kind of like a tracker, pulling vehicles around the yard, and to pick up parts etc. around town. This rig has been in dry salt free areas it’s while life! There is Only one spot of real surface rust, and that is on the drivers side bottom floor(see pic), And it’s Not rusted threw, just surface! That is the only area that needs to be addressed, minus the fact she could use new paint, or use her as is.She has new tires(about a year old), two new batteries(month old), brakes replaced are approx two years ago, Front and rear windows replaced a year ago. She fires right up and runs great! The only prob she has is the turn signals and lights aren’t currently working. And needs the inside fuse box replaced/fixed(which two fuse boxes are included). It appears to have some of the fuse pins corroded, and they broke when we checked and tried to pull a couple out to replace. The heater core needs to be replaced(which a new heater core is also included). We just never got around to change it out. And since we just use it around the shop, during the day, we didn’t really need too use the lights. There is a few dings and dents around the blazer, pics were taken you can see them. The four wheel drive works great. We’re getting out of the business and have no need for her anymore. And are selling off our personal collection of vehicles..I think that’s about all! She’s Just a nice Solid rig, and Won’t have you cutting out any rot, like most of them you see on here, from back East. A True Ca. US Army K5 Blazer. Currently registered in Ca, with a Clean and Clear Ca. Title in our name. PS. We forgot to add that a full set of Army Tech Manuals are included.. We’re at the max allowed picture amount.
