1973 Chevrolet Suburban Description
1973 Chevrolet Suburban 454 V8, 1 Owner, Ziebart, 66472 Original Miles
What we have here is a incredible 46 year old 1973 Chevrolet Suburban Cheyenne Super 10, 2 wheel drive 9 passenger 1 owner truck in extremely nice condition with only 66472 miles. Ziebart rust proofed when new and never driven in the winter and the overall condition totally reflects. Always kept inside and stored properly.
There is lots of documentation from brand new from when this 1973 Chevrolet Suburban was purchased. Original title, bill of sale and all original books and much more.
I am a friend of the family and have been asked to assist them in the sale of this beautiful Suburban.
Now some of the particulars
Finished in Marine Turquoise and white two tone paint which is mostly original with very minor touch up over the years. The paint is very nice and has a very nice shine. The body is very straight and clean with no rust. When the Ziebart rustproofing was done it was a very thorough job and the body reflects again with no rust. There is a fillar panel between the body and the rear bumper that has cracked over time. The 9 passenger interior is beige vinyl with black carpeting. The carpeting, dash, seats and all interior trim are like brand new with no tears or cracks. Seats and carpeting have been covered since new. Even the rear seat belts are still in the original plastic sleeves. All weatherstripping is in very good condition.
The drive train consists of the 454 V8 engine along with the 3 speed automatic transmission which is a great combination and both perform perfectly with no strange noises of any kind. Never abused in any way and never used as a tow vehicle.
Not a lot of options over the standard equipment. The cruise control, factory dual air conditioning (front and rear) and the power tail gate window perform perfectly.
When this Suburban was 6 years old the owner wanted a bigger fuel tank and more power. At that time he added a 40 gallon fuel tank along with a Holley carburetor with a new intake manifold. All factory parts that were removed to do this work have been saved.
When the family asked for my assistance in selling this Suburban it had not been driven in 12 years but stored in a warm building sitting on carpeting. Here is a list of mechanical work performed to make this Suburban a great driving vehicle again.
1. New Delco Battery2. New brakes, all 4 assemblies including brake hoses, calipers, master cylinder and wheel cylinders, drums and rotors were machined with front wheel bearings packed3. New cooling system hoses,a recored radiator, thermostat and water pump, cooling system was flushed with new antifreeze added4. New fuel pump, fuel tank was removed, cleaned, reinstalled along with all new fuel hoses5. New engine drive belts6. New spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, points and condenser.7. New valve cover gaskets8. Air conditioning blows cold with original R-12 refrigerant9. Holley carburetor was removed and overhauledShould be mentioned the majority of the parts used in these repairs were GM AC Delco
There is really not much more to say about this incredible very well preserved 46 year old 1973 Chevrolet Suburban that has already mentioned in the description. Again, Ziebart rust proofing when new helped preserve this Suburban. What a tremendous opportunity to own an incredible 1973 Chevrolet Suburban Cheyenne Super 10 that is in extremely excellent condition.
