1962 Chevrolet Corvair Description

1962 Chevrolet Corvair 900 Series Monza,it has the original dash and factoryChevy AC cover under the dash with the Chevrolet emblems, and custom steeringwheel. It is a 2-door coupe with 145 c.i.d. flat-6-cylinder motor w/ twin carbs & 84 h.p. The only modification was the Low-profile tires & wheels put on before I purchased the car. The transmission is a 2-speed-forward, one-speed-reverse Automatic Powerglide (the shifter is on the dash to the right of the steering wheel). New brakes: master cylinder, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, and rotors have about 250 miles on them. A new gas gage inside the tank was installed the same time as the brakes. There is no battery, one can be purchased reasonably priced at Wal-Mart, or any car battery store. The interior (seats and carpet) are in fair shape. The door panels need some work along with some rust (battery-box, doors, and there is some major rust (floor panels) but mostly minor rust on body). The window glass is all good except for one crack on the windshield (I have some new seals for the wing windows free of charge to the buyer). The door and back seat windows work. Hood and trunk lids work and in goodshape. The under carriage, inside the trunk, has some rust also, nothing really bad. The front bumper and rest of parts for it are in the trunk. The wheels are custom aluminum and tires are dry rotted and in need of replacement. I have had the Corvair since 2010. I bought it from a member of "The Fun Bunch" Car Club out of Sapulpa, OK, where I am a member. The 56-year-old Chevy Corvair would make a beautiful show car (I won 1 first place trophy and 2 show trophies while working on it) withnew paint, rust removal and minor body work (a few dents and dings). It does need some cleaning outside and in. That would come with restoration. I have the clear title for it (in my name) and it was last tagged in 2016. I would be willing to come down on the price a little if it means a quicker sale. Thank you. If I missed anything, please do not hesitate to ask questions. I will answer all to the best of my ability. I also Have a Complete Factory Rebuild Manual for 1962 Corvair that goes with it.

I would love to finish the work on it, but due to injuries in the Marinesin 1975, and a truck accident in 2010, that worsened with time and age, and money needed for more important things, I am not physically or financially able to complete the work. I am a 100% disabled Marine and Vietnam Veteran and proud of it. I have a wife and a 10-year-old son, as always Family comes First... Thank you for shopping my store and have a VERY BLESSED CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR!! from me and mine, to you and yours.
