For sale is my 1983/1989 4x4 Chevy HD K10 Blazer/GMC Jimmy with a clear GA title in my name. More specifically, It’s a 1983 heavy duty chassis with a 1989 GMC body, drivetrain and interior. The body and frame are in excellent shape with only one small surface spot in driver’s rocker panel. It has a decent newer paint job, but not perfect. There are some small blemishes and some orange peel on the top of the cab and a couple of small dings on the hood that could be easily removed with PDR.. It could use a good wet sand and buff. Most imperfections are minor. The motor is a 1989 5.7l TBI that runs perfectly and doesn’t leak or smoke backed by a 1989 K-case 700r4. The K-case is one of the toughest trannys that GM ever produced. The whole drivetrain works perfectly and has 73k miles. The brakes are in excellent shape with newer heavy duty calipers, rotors, pads, and lines. All shocks were replaced last month with KYB heavy duty gas shocks. All of the glass is in really good shape with good tint and all the windows function properly. The truck has a brand new AC system and both the AC and heat work great. The interior is in really good shape with only a few stains on the carpet. The seats are in great condition with no rips or tears. I installed new speakers only to find that the right speakers weren’t working. I installed an older Alpine head unit, and now it all works fine. The original head unit comes with the sale. A Coverlay dash cover was installed over the original cracked dash and looks fantastic. The original jack, tools and a good spare all come with the truck. The wheels were just painted and fitted with brand new centers and lugs. The tires are in good shape and still have plenty of miles left. All lights function properly with newer tail lamp lenses. The bumpers are also in great shape. This is no trailer queen, but it did make the main show at Caffeine and Octane in Atlanta last month. You can probably see the Jimmy when the show airs on NBCSN next year. It would make a sweet driver and play truck. With a little more work, it could be a show piece. These are only increasing in value as the earlier Blazers are becoming harder to find and their prices are skyrocketing.
