1969 Chevrolet Impala -- Description

This car is very neat and tidy throughout. Really, that's why I bought it. It first caught my eye being a convertible, the red interior popped against the white. Then as I checked it out I thought it presents itself real well. I later found out $40,000 was spent restoring the car. EXTERIOR: The previous owner claims he had the body media blasted and the panels are all the originals. Repainted it's original Dover white color. New black power convertible... top and glass window. New weatherstrips on the top frame. Chrome and emblems are bright and shiny. Stainless trim around the convertible top opening and windshield have been polished. Door jambs are very clean and tidy, new weatherstrips, window seals and sill plates. The SS wheels with BFG tires look great on this car. Has original style T-3 headlights. INTERIOR: Really sharp looking red interior. It was all replaced at the same time so it is one shade of red. New upholstery, front and rear, panels, rear armrest covers, front armrest pads and top boot. New red carpet with matching floor mats. Nice, clean dash area- not cut up or broken. It is upgraded with a retro stereo that fits in the original hole. It has the factory speakers in the kick panels. Steering wheel, handles, cranks, seatbelts all look good. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wow, super neat, tidy and proper. Previous owner says he rebuilt the motor to stock specs. It is the original #s match 350 with a 4 barrel. It even looks stock with original fuel filter, air cleaner, valve covers, manifolds etc. New wiper motor, squirters are hooked up. The components are all proper looking- alternator looks recent, has stock radiator shroud, air conditioning is all hooked up and fittings look recent, has spring clamp battery cables, recent hood insulation. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: That is one huge trunk compartment! It's solid with a nice coat of gray- white spatter paint. The jamb and bottom of trunk lid are painted a gloss white, new weather stripping. UNDERSIDE: Very solid and proper. Newer dual exhaust. Disc brakes in front look recently replaced. Front end components look good. Has front and rear sway bars. Bottom of the motor is clean. Turbo 350 trans is claimed to be rebuilt, new torque converter. Has 12 bolt rear in back. Very nicely bent new dual exhaust. Rear springs and shocks are replaced. E-brake cables are hooked up. Floors and even lower inner 1/4s look like clean original metal. This car is not perfect but it gives the impression that it is. Comfortable cruiser that runs and rides smooth. For a big car it's a looker. Yes it is big, plenty of room for the whole family, a cooler and lawn chairs!
