1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Description
This is a running, driving, solid, little, 4-speed convertible. It needs a new top, though the top frame is all there and functions easily and latches nice.
The car is solid enough that I can still pick the car up on my lift by the pinch joints, and with it lifted, the doors still open and close nicely as they should.
Has new battery, and new electric fuel pump.
Has new brake shoes and new wheel cylinders on all four corners, as well a new master cylinder and front steel brake lines.
All the glass is good.
Interior lights, fuel gauge, wipers, heater motor, and exterior lighting all work.
Engine runs well, though on occasion randomly runs rough, then cleans up. I suspect the right bank carb may need some attention.
I have driven this around my neighborhood with no issues and ran it through all 4 gears with no surprises, and of course it stops good.
The front steering linkage has a little play, but not terrible.
Tires are old, but still have good tread, and hold air just fine.
Front floors have been repaired, I have stood in this car with the seats out while vacuuming it, and felt solid anywhere I stepped.
Great car to just cruise around town in, and go get ice cream with. Get a new top this winter, and be ready for any weather (rain or shine) next year!I am sorry I will not ship! I will accept PayPal for deposit, the rest is CASH ONLY.
I encourage you to come look at the car in person if you want to inspect prior to bidding. I am located in Ashton IL.
